It is black, with all six legs on its thorax - and a band of yellow spikes (?) around the upper abdomen.

I have been trying to find it online with no luck :(

I am prepared to break out the dreaded Sevin just to get rid of them - my garden is about to explode with blooms, and I am not willing to lose out on my hard work!
