I've bought from multiple Dave's Garden vendors. And although I've received great service from all of them, this is clearly the winner.

Plants were 3x the size of everything else I have gotten at the same prices. Packaging was top quality and plants arrived safely. I also love that they include the tags with the plants so you can save the directions for later. The best packaging I've seen thus far.

I landscaped my front and backyard both this summer. I've bought probably over 100 plants from 5-10 top rated internet nurseries, and I can definitely say this was the #1 shipment.

All my service will be directed to these guys in the future where possible. Extremely pleased.

I have been purchasing material since the days of snail mail, unique and rare, paying top dollar for the privilege of receiving some puny, struggling, little cutting. In hopes that someday, within 3-5 years, with much attention, it may flower.

CHRIS is the man with the green thumb. He and his team produce marvelous specimens. I am painfully selective, RGs material is as fine or finer than any i might find at a nursery center.
i.e. if I were to be out shopping and have a lineup of 10 specimens, the one I would select would be just like the one i received in my RG order.

Absolutely love Romence Gardens online experience. I purchased Phlox, Coneflowers, Lavender, Anemone, and lovely shade plants. All arrive via FedEx packaged to protect each plant. Last years plants all returned in my gardens. Also all my gardening questions are answered within 24 hours.

The website is easy to navigate using the common plant name or the botanical name. Pictures and descriptions are very concise and helpful.

In a nutshell, this garden center is EXCELLENT.

My experience with Romence Greenhouse was super-duper! I placed my first ever order this spring based solely on reviews from this site. There was a mix-up on one item from my order (it happens) and they were very quick to get the right item sent. The quality of the plants was superb. I have ordered from other places that were good and I was happy with, but these were the best ever. Was also thrilled that my plants only took 2 days to arrive which was almost unbelieveable. Other places have take anywhere from 7 to 10 days. In addition, this greenhouse has a great selection to pick from. I highly recommend Romence Gardens and they will be getting future orders from me.

Placed my first order with Romence this spring based on all the positive reviews. My plants shipped on 5/5/16 and I received them on 5/6/16 WOW! they were large, healthy and well packaged and the shipping was only $9.95 again WOW! Romence is now one of my top two places for mail order plants

I received a large order of sunpatiens and they arrived perfectly packed and very healthy. I am very happy to have found this company online. I have ordered from other companies and romence gardens beats all of them with the quality of their plants. I already recommended them to my neighbors. THANK YOU.

Just received my fist order. What nice plants and packaging that is fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. When I ordered over the phone they were so polite and helpful. I am extremely satisfied.

Made a $200 order last spring and everything arrived in great shape. The largest pot size for perennials I have ever gotten from mail order nurseries, and when you consider their low shipping cost, they offer great value. Customer service was also great: they sent one wrong plant and when I notified them they immediately sent me the correct plant. Will definitely order from them again.

Ordered two Carolina Jessamine. Came quickly and in good shape. Plants still doing well despite my black thumb ☺

I recently ordered thirteen tall garden phlox plants in four different varieties, they all arrived healthy and were a nice size. Shipping was so fast and all of the plants were packaged so nicely. I ordered eight petunias with colors I could not find in my local nurseries. All arrived promptly and perfectly packaged. Each was loaded with flowers and in the peak of health. Outstanding experience!

I love this company! I had a issue with 2 Cherry Cheesecake Rose Mallows that I ordered last year, I'm not sure why but they didn't come back. So I called and spoke with Chris and he sent out replacements. Now that's great customer service! They now have a customer for life and I just placed another order of flowers. Also they were the only nursery who had them in stock. If you order from this company you will not be disappointed. Thank you Romence Gardens!!!

I have ordered from Romence Gardens for years because their selection is great. The quality and size of plants is tops, the packaging nearly flawless, and the customer service outstanding. There was one plant damaged in shipping last year and without hesitation a replacement was sent the very next day. Chris helped me to track down a rare Catchfly the deer had sampled,was attentive enough to inquire on my order by check, and upon finding it had arrived, sent my order that same day and yesterday I received another shipment of beautiful, lush plants.

Placed an order earlier this spring and have re-ordered 2x since. Great selection of plants at great prices. I live in CA and each shipment has made it here in record time ~4 days so I haven't had to worry about plants sitting in a shipping warehouse over the weekend. Plants have arrived in great shape, some already blooming, and I have not lost one yet.

I have ordered thousands of dollars in online plants for landscaping over the years and the plants from Romence Gardens & Greenhouses rank among the best.

I have been searching for the Oenothera Lemon Drop and found it at Romance. I purchased three in gal pots. I promptly received them and was very pleased to discover the excellent packing job they did and then to find such healthy plants. Best experience that I have had with ordering plants! I wish I were in Michigan to visit their nursery.

I highly recommend Romence Gardens for mail order plants! My experience with the staff, including Chris Romence, was top notch and very professional. I was looking for Pearly Everlasting plants on-line and Romence carried them. I had never ordered from them before and had no referrals but their prices for plants and shipping were reasonable so I thought I would give them a try. When my plants arrived I was dumbfounded! Amazingly well and securely packed. And the plants -- well they were nothing short of amazing! Nice and healthy and way larger and bushier than I expected. WOW. The three hard-to-find Forever Purple Heucheras were AMAZINGLY large and healthy! Also the 36-plant flat of Durango Yellow Marigolds - which I’d added to my order as an afterthought – made me decide to stop growing my own every year because Romence’s plant quality far exceeded my own plants at a price cheaper than the cost of supplies, seeds and time to grow these myself. Romence packaging is EXCEPTIONALLY praise-worthy. Plants were packed with ample space, and secured so that I had no “poppers” to rescue. This was my first order with Romence, and I couldn’t be happier. I just put my 2nd order in today!

I just received an order of 8 plants from Romence Gardens. They were very carefully packaged in a well-engineered system, delivered on the promised date, and are all healthy and huge compared to what I have received from several other mail order companies. This is my second time ordering from them, and I was similarly pleased with the first. Highly recommended.

I cannot believe the quality of these plants, and how carefully and ingeniously they were shipped. I am beyond thrilled. Almost 2 months ago, in early June I ordered a bunch of stuff, and all are completely out-performing every other perennial I've purchased at my local nurseries, as well as another online nursery: In addition, while other plants have succumbed to fungal disease (which I've been trying to treat), every single plant I purchased from Romence has remained healthy and thriving. Here's my list.

Rudbeckia Early Bird Gold: This is stunning! I had already purchased another rudbeckia from my fancy, usually reliable local nursery, and I wanted another so I thought I'd take a risk and try this one. OMG, this is one of the best decisions I ever made. The Romance Rudbeckia is spectacular-- what all black-eyed susans aspire to be. Full, sturdy stems, lots of flowers, super healthy. The original one I bought is pathetic and sickly in comparison. I wish everything in my garden looked this good.

Catmint Walker's Low: They actually sent me Junior by accident. No problem! The next day they sent me Walker's Low, so I got to keep Junior as a bonus! Both are doing beautifully. Again, they are healthier than the Catmint I got from the fancy local nursery.

Lily of the Valley: Super healthy and thriving. I've ordered these in the past from other online nurseries, but these were huge and super healthy in comparison. I planted them past their blooming season but expect they will bloom next year.

Lupine Gallery Pink. Gorgeous. But most importantly, while my other lupines have succumbed to some fungal disease, this one hasn't!!! I have been treating it with a fungicide, but I treated the others as well and they still got sick while this one is basically fine. Unbelievable.

Purple Coneflower Ruby Star. Blooming, sturdy, vibrant color, super healthy.

Drumstick Primrose Rosendorf. I planted this post blooming season, but I expect this will bloom next year. Super healthy, nice and fat.

Dianthus Everlast Burgundy Blush. It does smell wonderful! I had to move it because it was getting too much sun and not enough water, but now it's doing well. It's small, but healthy and I'm confident it will be a big bloomer and spreader.

I don't have the best soil, and I'm not the best gardener, but all the stuff I got from Romance is definitely the best. They will definitely be my first choice from now on.

I came across Romence when I googled a particular plant which no other company seemed to stock (Pink Fairy baby's breath). I found their website to be chock full of uncommon plants that seemed to fit my landscape design and my zone accordingly, so I put together a smaller sized order and eagerly waited for my first shipment.

Romence kept me updated on the status of my shipment along the way and notified me when one of my plants was not yet ready to be shipped. When my plants did arrive, they were neatly and cleverly packed unlike any other online nursery I had ordered from. Of the five or six online companies I've tried, Romence's boxes contained the least loose soil on the bottom, indicating the most efficient method of packaging. In addition, all plants arrived healthy, robust, and relatively stress-free--some were even blooming.

I carefully followed directions for planting--as I always do--and I did not have a single plant from them die on me. As a matter of fact, their plants (almost twice the sizes of most competitors) have really and truly taken off (with the exception of many of my poppies, which is more the fault of too much rainwater we've been getting recently and not the fault of the company, I should think). Their plants have grown in leaps and bounds, and I have not even bothered to fertilize.

I have ordered twice now, and I intend to order most of my future plants exclusively through Romence. Their prices are competitive, and their plants are larger and of better quality.

My only complaint is how cumbersome and awkward I find their website. It's not very easy to search or use. On one hand, it's nice that I get to see all of their exotic offerings, but on the other, sometimes you just want to see your zone only or different growing features by search. If they improve their website's functionality, I'll be exceedingly happy. Regardless, they have a lifetime customer in me.

Multiple orders placed this spring with excellent results. Plants shipped promptly, and were well packaged. Great quality and size of the plants that were purchased.

Romence Gardens & Greenhouses are head & shoulders above & beyond any competitor I have used for online garden purchases. Staff is courteous. Communication is clear. Shipping of plants is superb! I have already referred every gardener I know to this company & its website. This summer I only purchased Sunday Glove daylilies from Romence after purchasing my other annuals elsewhere. Had I visited this site first, I would have saved $60+ on shipping costs alone. I will buy EVERYTHING from them next summer. THANK YOU, ROMENCE GARDENS!!

I can't recommend this company enough! Great website with every plant I could think of. The hardest part was limiting myself to a smallish order to test them out (about $120) Got immediate emails about shipping, (seriously, the shipping is a flat rate of $10, you can't beat that!) I expected small cuttings like I've gotten from other companies but I got these 3 huge boxes with full sized plants! Several will bloom this year. All the plants are doing great. I will definitely order from them again!

I ordered the last of my ornamental grasses; and the two that arrived are excellent! I received 2 -"1 gallon" pots. The grasses in them are bigger than what has been growing for a month in my grass garden. Awesome service, shipping, pricing, and product. Thank you guys for great customer service too! Ordered a mandevilla through Romence Gardens and was thoroughly surprised at the quality and size of the plant. Huge, healthy and even in bloom. Shipping is a bit high but worth the expense when you see the care that is taken to make sure the plant arrives in perfect condition. Can definitely recommend this company and will buy from them again.

My mail order experience with Romence Gardens was first rate. My plant arrived in expert packaging without even a bruise on a single leaf of a beautiful healthy tree peony. This was a mature plant and the price was very reasonable. I called them and let them know how happy I was. I plan on ordering from them in the future

ordered four yellow pear tomatoes 5/16 and they arrived today 5/22. big, BIG and healthy, already flowering and ready to go. packing was perfect; they use a box almost like a cat carrier so the plants can really breath.
also received a personal email after i placed my order. can't say enough-thoroughly pleased!!!

Romence Gardens is by far the best online retailer I have used. Their plants are always packed well, & the plants are always very healthy. They are also very helpful with any questions or concerns. I can't say enough good things about this company. I have been using them for about 3 years & plan on continuing to use them.

I ordered a baptisia wild indigo from this company and when it was delivered they had turned the box upside down and all the dirt was at the bottom of the box. The plant was on its side with no dirt at all. Needless to say it was in very bad shape. I emailed them and told them about it and another plant was sent to me immediately. I could not have asked for better service. I give them my very highest rating and will certainly order more plants from them in the future.

WOW!! I just ordered one type of plant, Linum perenne sapphire. I love the way the shipping box opens up like a little suitcase, so you can easily lift the plants out of the box and move them to a safe area. My specimens were so well grown, they were blooming in the box! Communication was exceptional throughout the entire buying process. I can readily see why this company is in the Garden Watchdog top list!!

Plants were sent at proper planting time, as promised. Packing was very secure and the plants look great!

This is the first time I have ordered from this company. I ordered 4 silver lace vines a few weeks ago online. I was notified the next day that they would be shipped out at the end of the month due to freezing in my area and I would be charged when they were shipped. They shipped out on time and arrived today. I have ordered from many different top companies and I must say this one has impressed me the most. The packaging and manner in which they were shipped was the best I have seen. My plants were very healthy with lots of shoots and growth. No damage whatsoever thanks to the way they were packaged. They were big and well started ( I did order the gallon size). I will definitely be ordering from them again.

This was my first time ordering from this company. From the time I ordered until I received the plants today, the customer service was excellent. The plants arrived in perfect condition and were large and fresh with no wilting or damaged leaves. After ordering from many companies through the years, this was beyond a doubt the best packaged shipment I have received. For the price, the plants are a real bargain and larger than expected. Between the time I placed my order and it was shipped, my credit card was compromised and I needed to contact Romence with a new cc number. Dealing directly with Andrea was a pleasure. This was not the case with other merchants we were dealing with over this.

What a great grower I have found. Been buying online for years from lots of growers but Romence is a real winner. Their selection and pricing is outstanding. Communication has been excellent with quick responses and good information.

Received my first order of mostly annuals and was extremely impressed with the packaging of the plants. Not a drop of potting mix was misplaced and the health and size of the plants this early in the season was outstanding. I immediately placed another order.

Wonderful nursery! Ordered annuals and perennials from Romence for the last few years. Very good selection of plants. The plants are large and healthy and packed well for shipping. The customer service is superb and email questions are answered quickly. Romence is a member of my top 5 go to nurseries.

I have placed 2 orders with Romence. Both resulted in healthy, mature, and HUGE plants at better prices than most online nurseries. I like the flat-rate shipping, which simplifies the entire process - including budgeting - and is a very reasonable rate. Communication from Romence is great, as is their responsiveness to any inquiry or concern.

In spring of 2011, I ordered a number of annuals. They arrived perfectly packaged and absolutely beautiful. They thrived in my garden.

This past September (2014), I ordered a number of Sedum and Joe Pye Weed. To my absolute delight, I received 3'+ tall Joe Pye Weed plants, and full, healthy sedums. They were unblemished and had traveled well. They thrived during the extended autumn we had this year.

Abashedly, I admit I didn't get around to planting 2 of the sedums. They were relegated to the garage for spring planting. Yesterday, I checked on them, and both are merrily beginning growth for the upcoming spring season.

I am already in the process of placing another order with Romence for the next season.
