I don't have a ton of experience with kt but what I have has been outstanding. The communication was top notch and the products I have tried were stellar.
So far all I have tried was the Imphepho and the pedicularis. Both of this products were super fresh and very active. The pedicularis came in huge juicy buds with a nice sweet smell and taste.

I've purchased herbal extracts from KT Botanicals on two occasions within the past month. Both times I received my products within 4 days. Packaging was top quality. The extracts were WAY WAY better that similiar products I've purchased from other companies. I just placed my 3rd order Friday and I have already got an order confirmation email.

Tyler (KTB) has a great reputation in the field of rare botanicals. He has my complete trust. My most recent order was for over 175 dollars. My previous two orders were for over 250 dollars total.

I got the level of service I expect and quality beyond my expectations!!!

Order with complete confidence from KT Botanicals.

Let me start out by saying KTBotanicals has a HUGE range of products to choose from. That was the first thing I noticed when I discovered their website. The two things I use them for mainly are nootropics and Kratom. For nootropics, this is a one stop shop. The powders are priced right and they have dependable, consistent shipping. I'm also a big fan of the Kratom products that I have purchased so far (which have honestly only been a couple of strains). I haven't tried the UEC but plan on doing so soon because I've read good things on some of the other forums. As far as the extracts go, I can vouch for the 50X Kratom. It's one of the best kratom products I've tried in a long time.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews. I've always been pleased with the products. The plants I've ordered are carefully packaged and in good condition. Most indian warrior I had ever seen online was leafy and not really in whole form. KT's was flower only. The imphepho was fresh. I've ordered around a dozen times and will again.

I wish I could edit the last comment! I failed to mention that I've always had good communication AND shipment times. Maybe they have busier spurts? I don't know... I've ordered from a lot of ethno vendors and both for myself and within the community they're considered a stand up company.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

If you do, here's what you can expect:

-He will tell your item is shipped. But in actuality, it wont be. Not until at least 3 days later. HE WILL LIE TO YOU. If he is willing to you about this, then he is willing to lie to you about other things. An untrustworthy vendor, is no vendor at all in my book.

-He will charge you $6.70 to ship your product first class mail.

-The product will be of low quality, or it wont even be the right product. My last order, I got something completely different than I ordered. Good thing I burned a very small amount! I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't.

-He will most likely never respond to your emails, and if the snot nose punk thinks your question is worthy of his time... Then there is a good chance he will take his sweet time in answering it.

-This guy professes to have "good customer service". Although in actuality, a monkey could provide much much better service.

-He will give you your order in an oversized bag, causing most of the material to stick to the side of the bag. This can be a huge headache, if you're try to burn your incense on the go.

Hello Jack and other Dave's Garden members. I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Travis. I am the Chief Operations Officer of KT Botanicals and as such, I oversee, among other things, all of the shipping and receiving activities for KT Botanicals. I'd like to start off by saying that KT Botanicals has shipped over 11,000 orders already this year. 11,000 orders have gone out in these past 4 months and we've received 2 complaints during that time, both of which are from first time posters on this board. We've been providing our loyal customers with quality botanicals for years and never have complaints about our product quality. In fact, 74% of our revenues come from our REPEAT customers. Our advertising budget is 0 dollars- We don't need to advertize to attract business because our reputation speaks for itself in the ethnobotanical community.

On to Jack.

Jack, since you didn't leave any information regarding your order, such as an order number, an order date, an order amount, what you ordered, or any sort of substantiating evidence of you actually being a customer whatsoever, I have attempted to locate you in my investigation of this issue. I have searched through my customer database and cannot seem to locate any Jacks from Santa Rosa. I'll address some of these issues regardless of you not disclosing who you really are, what you ordered, or anything else that would substantiate any of your libelous claims.

1, When an order is printed for processing, a shipping label is printed out with a tracking number which is emailed to the customer. The order is then marked as shipped. It gets processed generally the same day and is dropped off to the post office. We are perfectly clear about our processing and shipping times in our terms and conditions and in our FAQ which is posted on the home page, on the order confirmation page, and on our contact us page. This FAQ is impossible to miss unless you are actively trying not to see the large, bold, red letters that respectfully ask you to read the FAQ and understand our policies. From our FAQ:
" Most orders normally take between 1-3 BUSINESS days to process, and 2-7 POSTAL days in postal transit within the US. Some orders may take longer depending upon what you ordered."

2. Jack, what did we lie to you about? Untrustworthy? Jack, what is your REAL name and what is your order number?

3. We charge a flat shipping rate of $5.95... not $6.70 for smaller orders (up to 1.5lbs) From there, it goes to priority mail flat rate boxes.

4. Jack if we sell such low grade products and don't send you the right stuff, why did you place this "last" order with us?

5. Whatever it is that you are burning, it seems to me that you are misusing and abusing our products which is a direct violation of our terms of service and most likely illegal in your state or territory.

6. If we don't respond to an email, its likely because the question has already been answered in the FAQ, which we clearly state on the contact us page: "We Will NOT Respond To Questions That Have Already Been Addressed In Our FAQ!" Other inquiries that we don't answer include abusive emails, emails inquiring about subjects that we cannot legally answer (i.e. how much of XYZ should I burn to achieve ABC effects), emails that are in excess i.e. emailing every hour for days at a time.

7. I'm a snot nosed punk... who holds a graduate degree in his field of study and caters his business to legitimate researchers, universities, health care professionals, and responsible individuals that hold a true respect for sacred and medicinal plants and for those who dedicate their lives to further the research on these plants. I don't know you at all, but you just don't seem to fit that bill.

8. If a monkey can provide better service, maybe its time you open up your very own shop, you'de be your number one customer and solve points 1-7 above!

9. Our bags are 4X6 inch 2 mil poly zip bags- Industry standard bags. When they make non stick teflon coated bags, I'll start buying them.

Again Jack, your continuous references to burning substances, even while on the go, your concern with the small amount of residue sticking to the bag, as well as your angry disposition in general, seems to indicate that you are abusing some of these plants rather than legitimately researching them and whats worse is that you are letting the world know about it through your posts here. Its rather unfortunate that you don't have a better outlet for your issues than posting libelous comments on Dave's Garden.

Interesting- "Jack" from Santa Rosa never did answer ANY of the PM's sent to him nor did he provide an order number, legitimate contact info, or anything to substantiate ANY claims made against our company. I placed a small order with this company (roughly $20) on 2/17. On 2/18, I received a delivery confirmation number that showed electronic transmission only - meaning that the label was purchased but not yet used, so the order had not yet been shipped. My credit card was charged about two days later.

After two weeks, the label still did not show shipment. I sent an email requesting a status update - no reply. I waited another week, and sent another email, this time saying that I would be disputing the charge with my bank if I still received no response - still no reply. At this point, it has been close to a month since the order was placed and over three weeks since my credit card was charged, and there has been no indication that anything has shipped yet, and no response to either of my emails. I will be disputing the credit card charge on Monday.

I do not recommend purchasing anything from this company - they seem to be very hit or miss with their orders, and there are plenty of other companies that you can use instead, that ship items in a timely manner.

I made three purchases from K.T. BOTANICALS, one was made on 10/15/09, the other two were made on 10/16/09. Order # 8424 was received very quickly without any problems, however I never received the other two orders(#8414 and #8417) nor have I received any tracking numbers. I have made two attempts to contact them by way of e-mail and they have not responded. I am part of a research team that is currently conducting research. KT botanicals came highly recommended as a ethnobotanical company that not only acted with responsibility but also offered quality botanicals. I am aware that on their web site they mention that customer service is not their highpoint, a better word to use would be non-existent. I cannot get any response from them, thus I will just dispute it with my credit card company and find a company that values customers. Your product was great, your communication and customer service is horrible.

Later that day they emailed me an update, indicating they'd shipped my package, including a link to check the shipping progress myself. Shortly thereafter they emailed me another notice telling me my order was on the way--all on October 2, 2009! Today is only October 5, 2009 and my order arrived, safe and sound, in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier. Thank you KT Botanicals! W00T!

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!!! Company is an outright scam. I paid over $80 for salvia foliage and 20x salvia extract as advertised. What I received looked like dead leaves from your standard backyard leaf dump and charcoal dust. 3 different people confirmed this stuff was absolute garbage. Even worse, after my repeated email inquiries, this company refused delivery of the goods when I paid additional shipping to return them. Now I'm out almost $100. The order was packed by "Travis" and the return was authorized by someone claiming to be "Tyler."

I placed an order on July 12. I received an email July 20 saying it had shipped. (Yay!) On July 23 I received a phone call from someone who received my order instead of his own. My address and phone number were on the enclosed invoice, but the package was addressed to him.

Anyone can make a mistake, and I was not upset. I sent KT Botanicals an email letting them know what had happened. I did not receive a response, but they did charge my credit card on July 24.

So, I sent another email, hoping maybe the first one went astray. Still no response. I waited a week and sent another email. No response. I still don't have my order, the company has not taken responsibility for their mistake, and there is still a charge (not an authorization - a charge) on my credit card.

I realize KT Botanicals does not claim to offer great customer service, and I respect that decision. But I did expect to actually receive a product for my money.

On August 19th, 2009, NancyD_LMT changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following:

I sent one last email on 8/15, once again described the mistake on my order, and let KT Botanicals know that I had, regretfully, begun the dispute process with my CC company. On August 18, I received a very sincere apology, my credit card was refunded, and Tyler offered to send my order free of charge.

I do believe this is a very ethical company. As they state, they offer only average customer service, and this helps to keep prices low. I have no issue with this.

But they also imply that their customer service via email is excellent during business hours, and that emails will be answered in a timely manner (1 to 2 days) as long as you don't ignore the guidelines listed in their FAQ.

So, I'll upgrade them to a neutral, since they eventually did answer me and did the right thing. I feel confident that most orders go through without a hitch, and that I was probably the victim of a rare mistake. And they simply are not set up to efficiently deal with mistakes.

"On May 9, 2009 12:21 PM, KT Botanicals responded with:

Hi Nick,

I'm sorry that we're having a misunderstanding here. Let me attempt to clarify how this works. On the live plants page, we try to be up front about when you should expect your plants or cuttings in large, bold, red font: "If you wait until early spring to place an order, there may be a delay of up to 4-6 weeks as customers who reserved plants during the winter months will have their orders shipped out first." http://www.ktbotanicals.com/live-plants-c-3.html

Additionally, in our FAQ, which we respectfully ask all customers to read before ordering, after ordering, and again before contacting us, we address this matter in no uncertain terms:

"I ordered live plants from you and its been 3 weeks and I don't have my plant. What's going on?

When you purchase a live plant, you are putting a deposit on the next available plant. All live plant orders are subject to availability as explained on the live plant page. Some plants ship out next day, others may take 4-6 weeks to get to you. The reason for this is because we are not a nursery and some plants and cuttings are shipped from private contract growers, others are grown here upon the receipt of your order. When you purchase a live plant you are reserving your plant so that when it becomes available, it will be yours. This helps to keep our plant inventory to a minimum such that we do not have 200 plants to upkeep daily."

http://www.ktbotanicals.com/faq.html

Your order was sent to our private grower on the 13th and was marked off in our system as "shipped". This is not an indication that we have physically shipped your plant, but rather that we have put the order in for your plant or cutting to be shipped to you as it becomes available- As per our terms and conditions of sale. It has presently been 4 weeks and our window of delivery for this particular item at this particular point in the season is 4-6 weeks as stated numerous times on the site.

Did you happen to read the Live Plants page, the FAQ, or the Contact Us page before publicly complaining to millions of people on the internet? We do our very best to be up front and honest about when you should expect your order, but if you miss the big bold red lettering that explain these things in multiple locations on the site, I don't know what to tell you.

Nick was refunded 12:20pm PST May 9 2009"

I ordered the following items from KT Botanicals:
28g bundle of ephedra sinica
3.5g Salvia Divinorum 25X extract
112g Dan-shen (salvia miltiorrhiza)
14g Kratom 30x extract
1 Live Salvia Divinorum Plant

I was more than pleased with the quality of the products. They are not the run of the mill sort of products that you find on ebay or elsewhere. I weighed the products as well on my digital scale and am happy to report that I recieved 119g of Dan-shen, 3.7g of the salvia, and 34 grams of ephedra. The Kratom extract was an even 14g.

As for the salvia Plant, although it showed some stress from the shipment, it was 8 inches tall, well rooted, and very well packaged for shipment. The plant recovered within a week and is now over 14 inches tall with lush new growth!

Overall I would rate this vendor a perfect 10 out of 10. The owner was very professional and was eager to answer my questions personally and in extensive detail rather than just sending me some links to other sites. I will be going through this company in the future.
