Comments regarding Greenearth Publishing Inc. (bananaplants.net, greenhouse.net)

I ordered a dwarf red banana plant from them.It came quickly and well packed.I am very pleased and will order more in the future.

I was horrified when my baby banana came very damaged (due to the post office not the nursery).

I got an very quick reply to my e-mail and an extremely generous offer of a replacement and (not or) a refund. Great customer service and a banana hardy in zone 5, what more could a gardener ask for?!

Do NOT order anything from this company. I purchased a Musa Saba for $11.50. In a matter of hours the price was changed to $9.50.
I E-Mailed the following to Greenearth:

'Hi,
I ordered a Musa Saba banana from you earlier this morning, for $11.50
I notice that you now have the price changed to $9.50
I am a little angry with this change only a couple hours after my purchase.

Please reply with details on your system and whats going on.'

The responce was:
'i reduced the price, am i not allowed?'

I then replied:
'No, you do have every right to raise or lower the price, I'm not saying you don't. How many people purchased the Musa Saba banana from you on sunday if I may ask? I really doubt your selling hundreds of them a day, if someone purchases something from you, lowering the price a few hours later doesn't seem like good business to me.'

Their responce was:
'the 11.50 were larger and older the 9.50 are smaller, i have canceled your order and wish you a happy night, thanks, ted' -With the transaction included.

I then replied:
'I expect to see a full refund of the 16.40.'

The last reply from Greenearth was:
'can you READ below, get a lif!'

I have never been treated worse by any company before, and I will never purchase anything from them. This is a place that must not be interested in doing any proper business, and does NOT by any means have any customer service, and definately does not know how to treat their customers with respect.

I urge you to purchase elsewhere, from a company that has pride in their own business.

I ordered four Musa basjoos from GreenEarth, they all arrived in fantastic condition (came with fertilizer). When I opened the package there were only three plants. I called them by the number on the receipt and they shipped me two more plants--ONE FREE! They are very nice and have good prices, one 12 inch Musa basjoo was $9.50! I will order from them again.

Shipment arrived promptly. Box was bend by shipper but plant (musa basjoo) was undamaged and in excellent condition and seems to be doing well. Included thorough planting instructions and plant food as well. Excellent company.

This company is super! I order one banana plant but when I received it, the U.S.P.S. had bent the shipping box in half and the plant was broken. I contacted Greenearth by e-mail to ask what to do. In less than 2 hours they responded to my e-mail, told me what steps to take to grow the broken plant and advised that they would send me a new plant at no charge! I got the new plant a few days later. It was very healthy and the price of the original plant was very inexpensive compared to other websites. What more could you want?

I ordered three banana plants on March 22nd. The order was held until all three plants could be shipped, which was fine. The order was express-mailed from Florida on 4/05 and arrived at my door in California on 4/07--pretty good for US mail! The plants were all in excellent condition and clearly labeled. Im very satisfied with Greenearth, and have recommended them to my friends.

This company is also known as bananaplants.net. I purchased a dwarf cavendish banana plant from them 2 years ago. The plant was young, healthy and had a nice large root ball. Packaging was adequate. Service and communication with the company has been very good. They have a very nice selection of banana trees to pick from, and their prices are the best I have found anywhere. My individual banana plant has produced a multitude of babies, and I now have 5 banana plants. I haven't gotten fruit yet, but that's my fault for not sheltering the plant during winter here in north california. This year, they had a greenhouse and I expect to see fruit set this year :)

Ordered 3 plants which arrived shortly in good condition. Special planting and care instructions for the young plants, was included. The plants are about 2 months old now and are doing very well. There is much information on web site. I will order from this company again.
