I had a great experience with this Nursery. My plants arrived in super condition and they were huge! The growth that was removed for shipping came back within a few days. Very hardy stock!

I ordered double delight coneflower mid June of this year and was very delighted to receive very healthy, big plants!!! They even have a lot of flower buds on them already!
Will definitely order from them again! I highly recommend this company!

Received my first order from Sooner today. Box was
expertly packed for shipping (many miles) with minimal
bent stems and/or loose dirt. I could not have asked
for more. One shrub had 2-3 foot of growth not incl-
uding the pot. The other plant had oodles of bloom,
which I of course snipped off as they were dehydrated
from travel. I would definitely order again and would
recommend this nursery to any one looking for a good
mail order source.

I have ordered from Sooner Plant Farm twice within the last 6 months. Both orders were filled quickly and I was very impressed with the quality and size of the plants when they arrived.The only thing I would ask them to reconsider would be shpping the plants in the containers. Perhaps they could use another method which could cut down on the amount of soil around the plant which seems to make the cost of shipping fairly costly probably because of the weight of the soil in the large containers. I would certainly order again from them and encourage others to give them a try!

I ordered 5 canadale gold euonymous plants on May 27,2007. They shipped the following week. There was a slight delay because of theMemorial Day weekend holiday, which is understandable. I received the plants on June 4,2007. The packaging was very secure- the plants arrived in excellent condition. They were very full and healthy.I was very impressed with the quality of Sooner's product and would definitely order again!

customer service is excellent! had a slight problem with an order which was ultimately a problem with ups and not sooner plant farm. e-mailed the company and recieved a phone call from the owner within the hour. amazing! the plants, mostly trees and shrubs, arrived in very good condition considering i ordered so late in the season (mid-june) and the temp. took a wild shift from 90 degrees to 70 degrees while they were in transit. excellent size, packaging and above all, customer service.

I ordered a Harry Lauder's Walking Stick and a River Birch and received two good sized, healthy trees. Undoubtedly, they are the largest plants I've received by mail order.

Would have liked a email notification that the order shipped so I could anticipate (or better yet, track) the day of its arrival, but such notice seems to be the exception rather than the rule among online nurseries.

Overall, I'm very pleased a will likely order from Sooner again.

I just reveiwed your order info and in this case, your email address was not entered correctly by us, into our shipping database. I applogize for this error and will be taking steps to prevent this error in the future.
All orders do receive an auto email order confirmation, sent to the email address provided on the order.( we cant mess this one up), directly after the order is placed. It provides a link to check the status of that order. We also added a new feature that provides our customers with up to date order status of all their orders past and present. Last week I purchased a clump birch from Sooner Plant Farm to be delivered to my home in Kansas. The tree was exactly as described and greatly exceeded my expectations--from packaging to the tree itself. The tree was so carefully and thoughtfully packaged that it didn't even lose a single leaf or twig in transit. The rootball was container grown, with a healthy root structure--definitely not rootbound. The tree itself was braced within the box by cardboard framing and the container of roots and soil was sealed with plastic and then taped to the bottom of the box to ensure that the roots stayed moist with soil packed around them. There was absolutely no way the tree could upend itself inside the box. And, exactly as stated on Sooner's website, the tree was definitely within 3 - 4 feet in height. I am so happy with it, that I am returning to Sooner's site to order a second tree and possibly some additional plants. I will definitely use them in the future and will spread the word to friends and family.

Sooner Plant Farm has been the absolute best online plant purchase that I have made. Plant was large and healthy, it is a given they take extreme pride in producing nice plants. I would definitely buy from them again!

I just received my two Snow Fountains Weeping Cherries from Sooner's on Friday afternoon. Prior to ordering, I spoke with Brian via phone to inquire about the trees, and he was extremely helpful. On a side note: I live in central Arkansas and while Sooner's is within a nice day's drive, it is more economical to ship the plants. After speaking with Brian, I placed my order via internet and within a few days, I received a HUGE box. Both the trees arrived in EXCELLENT condition - nothing harmed in shipment and I can honestly say these are the best packed items I've ever received. The trees are HUGE. I ordered two others previously before finding these through Dave's Garden's plant search and decided to order from Brian because of the description he gave me of the trees he had on hand - which was totally accurate. I got the other two trees from the "other guys" (which were quite small and not nearly in as good condition) the day prior to receiving Sooner's and we were in shock over the size difference (the price difference between Sooner's and the 'other guy' was only $2 and the difference in quality is night and day). I am already shopping Sooner's online site for other items that I want to add to our garden this fall.

The order exceeded our expectations. One tree is for my mother (I kept one for myself, too). I will be posting a photo of the tree on our hobby web site at (w)walkergardens.com within a week, so if you'd like to see an example of the quality you can expect from Sooner's, just take a look for yourself. I am a first time buyer at Sooner. These plants were incredible! All 35 plants were packed each in it's own box within a strong bigger box, small boxes stapled to the big box. Nothing could move or spill. Every plant was big and full. I was totally surprised and elated. I will definitely be back next year!

I am going to place an order with this company in june, and first checked out their web site i'm getting a wisteria, dogwood and greenlace leaf japanese maple filled out the order form after a couple of days i changed my mind and wanted a twisty baby locust so i filled out the form again! then read up on it and opps! i didn't realize they have thorns i now don't want it (cuz of my 8 year old son)so i was going to write them when i sent in my money order for the orginal order, but i get a phone call (yep)it's from sooner WOW! she had a question about my order (i didnt expect them to be so prompt )after telling her the situation she asked if i wanted to go ahead with the orginal order she really caught me off guard and i kept telling her i was sorry.I worked in retail and a boss once told me that when you handle a customer go beyond the call of duty, and this is what brings in customers for how the people at this company are very professional, and have a very good business manners i highly recommend them and im trusting the plants too be of perfect health. This is how a business should be run.

I have purchased trees from Sooner plant farm a couple of times . They have a great selection of maples that i can not find in my area. Both time the orders arrived in great shape and super fast.Brian is very helpfull with follow up questions and seems to really care. I give them a big a+ and will continue to purchase my trees from them.

I have ordered several times from Sooner Plant farm, and have always been pleased with my order. The dogwoods are full and lush (the yellow is even in bloom!), the viburnum is full and sturdy, and the bergenia and forest grass were already growing, ready to plant, even though they were delivered (at my request) in early April.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I have been gardening for over twenty years and have used mail order before, but, let me tell you, NEVER was I this impressed. I recieved two phone calls from them regarding my order. The first due to the cold flash we had, and the second because THEY were not happy with the looks of three plants I ordered and didn't want me to be disappointed. We quickly resolved that by replacing them with something similiar. I've never dealt with a company who cared that much about what they ship. Talk about shipping, everything was packaged so perfectly I almost couldn't get them out of the wrapping. Not a leaf broken nor a drop of dirt out of place. That's saying alot considering the delivery guy had one of the two boxes upside down. The plants I recieved were the largest, healthiest, most beautiful plants I ever recieved through mail order. Not even many of the local nurseries around here would have had plants as beautiful as these. They now have a new customer for life and I will be sure to recommend them to every gardener I know. WOW!! I was extremely happy when I opened my package and found such large, beautiful plants. I have been gardening for over 30 years and this experience gives me confidence to continue to buy through the internet, without a catalog or any advertising. This is my first experience dealing with you and if my plants overwinter, I will surely come again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I ordered some one gallon assorted heucheras for a very reasonable price. All of the plants were not available to be shipped at the same time due to some being slow to grow. A company rep called me and explained the situation, giving me the choice to cancel those plants or wait for them to be shipped at a later date. They were very pleasant to deal with. When the other plants arrived they were so wonderfully packed that it took me awhile to figure out how to unpack them! Each plant was separately wrapped in plastic to retain the potting mix and then placed in a card board shield. Nothing had budged despite the fact that the shippers left it upsidedown on the front porch. The plants are big and healthy, putting out lots of new leaves. I haven't had a chance to plant yet due to our unseasonable cold and the subsequent clean-up required, but this weekend they will find a permanent home here. This company is great and I will order from them again next year.

Shrubs ordered were in perfect condition upon arrival. Incredible quality & superb growth! The shipment arrived according to my special delivery request, too... I will definitely order from Sooner Plant Farm again! I am thrilled!!!!

Read about Sooner on a forum (very positive comments) checked them out here and placed an order for 8 items; 3 trees, shrubs and perennials totaling $170.60.

They state in the faq on their site that shipping is based on the weight of the order, and that shipping multiple tree orders do not increase shipping costs much, and yet my shipping charge was $62.07 for 2 large boxes.

Fair enough, I thought, since they were shipping 5 gallon-sized pots and the trees, except that they'd shifted in shipping and enough potting mix had fallen out of the pots for it to be evident that both the mukdenia and caryopteris which were listed as gallon pots and were indeed shipped in gallon pots had only recently been potted up from what looks like plugs, and had barely extended roots out into the new soil. I've got 3 month old perennial seedlings bigger than these plants.

I could theoretically have paid at least 10% less for shipping, and truth be told I would not have ordered the caryopteris and mukdenia from them if I'd known they were so young/small. I expected gallon sized plants, as listed and paid for.

That said, everything else in the order was at least the size advertised, and the trees are quite nice.

Still, I doubt I would order again unless they were the exclusive source of some coveted plant.

This company is the best! The plants, trees and shrubs they send are very healthy and much larger than the plants of other online vendors, communication is excellent, packaging is very careful and shipping is lightning fast. You cannot go wrong with Sooner Plant Farm!

Not sure why Sooner isn't in the Top 30 today. It was a couple of weeks ago, which is why I felt comfortable ordering from them. Just received my plants last night.

In March, I ordered 3 Mukdenia (Crimson Fans). I immediately received an e-mail stating that the plants wouldn't be ready until April 23 (last Monday), and was that okay? It was. Over the weekend, I discovered that Sooner also had some heucheras that I wanted. I send off an e-mail Sunday night, hoping to catch my Monday shipment and add three plants to it.

Brian called me Monday to say that they would be able to add the plants and would ship them that afternoon. Everything arrived last night (Wed). The first thing I noticed was the outstanding packing. Most mail-order companies pack well. However, these were packed so carefully that it took over half an hour to unwrap them. Despite the obvious banging around by UPS, the only damage was a couple of broken flower scapes.

Once I got them unwrapped, I was thrilled to see the quality of the plants. They're all just beautiful. These are TNN plants, and I know from coops how small TNN ships its plugs. Sooner's plants have been grown to mature size. They are by far the biggest, healthiest plants I've ever received by mail. In fact, they are bigger and healthier than most of the mature plants I buy locally.

I also thought that these plants were a little on the expensive side. But now, having seen them, I don't think that's true. Sooner's plants are just as they describe: "premium one-gallon" plants. Very much worth the price.

I am a veteran of shopping at online nurserys and sooner plant farm is on par with the best. I ordered a golden raintree from this company and I have to say that the service and the plant quality was excellent! I appreciate the fact that the tree was not shipped bare rooted and was ready to go in the ground. They also included a small amount of fertilizer for the plant, which I thought was a nice touch.

I will definately recommend this company and will purchase for them again.

Ordered 3 eastern redbuds and 4 red maples plus some misc. plants. All where shipped on time as per date acknowleged when order was placed. They arrived just before an unseasonable cold so I set up an area in the house to keep them until it warmed up. WOW they started budding and leafing right away. They arrived well packed and in two days after shipment was made, which was scheduled at the proper time for our area. Product was as described on their site and very healthy.

If you Email them use their site to do it. They respond with in hours if using their method. Using a standard mail prgram did not get a response.

The only thing I would change is an Email confirmation that the order had shipped with tracking numbers. Although it shipped as promised and this should never be a problem.
Their shipping charges seem to be more reasonable than others shipping like items.

Would recommend to others. Keep up the good work and you will soon be in the top 30 ratings.

We are linked to many gardening sites that require us to jump through hoops just to respond to a customer message. Sorry for that inconvenience. As for the the shipping confirmation, we recently switched from UPS to Fed EX and although Fed Ex has provided great shipping, their software has some issues that we are working on, so we can again get the email notices out to our customers. I ordered twelve Double Knockout Rose bush's and a couple of Crepe Mytles from Sooner Plant Farm and I could not be more satisfied. The packaging was excellent. Everything arrived yesterday green and in excellent condition. Especially the roses....full of bud's!

I have ordered from Sooner's for a three years. The quality of the plants has been 100% great. I called them recently as I had an error on my internet order, and the communication with the associate who took care of the problem was was very pleasant. I would definitely order from them again. The order arrived yesterday, was packaged very well, and the shrub has lots of branches and is well rooted. Good folks

We received our plants and they where more then we ever dreamed of. They where not damaged in transport and the trees where excellent condition.

I had one concern over one of the plants and went to Sooner's web site and filled out a form and submitted the form. Had mistyped the email and within an hour the ower called me and answered my concerns.

I ordered a bunch of hardy Hibiscus from Sooner which have not sprouted yet (I know these break dormancy late), but potted root stocks were huge. Just received my second order from them this week for some trees I ordered...some Globe Willows, Red Maples and Loblolly pines. All arrived in terrific shape and are huge - the pines and willows are particularly impressive. Lighting fast shipping, too, exactly when I requested....very impressive experience with this nursery so far!

The tree I ordered arrived on the date promised. It was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition the day after it was processed at Sooner Plant Farm. The leaflets were just bursting their buds and were fresh and green.

I have ordered from other companies- some who provided good service, some not as good. The product from Sooner would have to be classified Superior and warrants an endorsement from a well-satisfied customer.

Great price, shipped at the correct time for planting in my area, packaged securely and the tree arrived in great shape with an extremely well developed root system. I too will be giving Sooner Plant Farm more orders in the future.

Placed a order for Japanese seedlings. The "baby trees" were nice shaped and healthy. They were packed the best I've seen so they arrived undamaged. Can't wait till Spring!!!

I reveiwed the photos, and the customer is referring to older age bark. The trees are going on 3 years old and the younger green bark is turning gray and rough textured. This is perfectly natural and is not any disease. We have weekly Department of Agricuture inspections, and at no time has any diseases been found on our products. We have grown and shipped Japanese Maples for 11 years and have never had any problems with our trees.
After speaking to the customer and deciding I could not ease her concerns, I have agreed to take back the trees and offer a refund. The customer accepted this offer. "

I have used a handful of online garden suppliers and soonerplantfarm is by far the best one. The trees that I ordered were well shipped and in good condition for planting. I will use them again.

And I can't forget to mention their wonderfully healthy plants. And they send little fertilizer packets you bury near the roots when you plant. And, the best planting instructions ever!! They've thought of everything.
