On April 1sti called and was told my order was mislayed and they would reorder .By april13th NO PLANTS.After finding your web site and seeing all those negative results i called and asked for a refund .customer servie told me they sent me a check on may 6th it is now may14th . NO TOMATOES NO CHECK.today i see 23 negative observations on your web site ifeel thisroger & wbster tomatoe are scaming the public and is misrepresentingthemselves in all their 900 publications.HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK WHAT LEGAL RIGHTS

Just imagine how few people know of this watchdog site.
Can you imagine the size of this ripoff. For every complaint there are probably at least 1000 people that said oh well.
That amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars to Publishers choice.

2/24/03 I SENT A CHECK FOR $3.90 TO HAVE A TOMATO PLANT SENT TO MY ELDERLY MOTHER AT HER ADDRESS (IN ANOTHER STATE) AND THEY SENT HER A LETTER IF SHE WOULD SENT A CHECK THEY WOULD FILL HER ORDER. IF THEY GOT THE ORDER I SENT FOR HER THEY GOT THE CHECK. CHECKED WITH BANK AND CHECK HADN'T BEEN CASHED SO I SENT ANOTHER CHECK AND ORDER TO HAVE IT SENT TO MY HOME. WELL LIKE THE ABOVE THEY HAVE NOW CASHED BOTH CHECKS AND NO TOMATO PLANTS. BEEN HAD TWICE - SHAME ON ME!!!

I orderd 12 tomatoe bushes and 3 hanging strawberry garden on 02/20/2003 and got the tomatoe plants in april but no sign of strawberries.

Well I too have been the prey of this scam. I mailed a check in Feb of 2003, and the check was cashed thru the bank on 4-7-03. It is now 5-13-03 and I have not recieved any plants or any information why. I called the customer "service" number and they said they were on backorder but now after reading the other messages I see that is a lie. If possible I will report these people to someone and hopefully no one else will lose any more money.

I mailed a check for $8.39 to Rogers & Webster on March 9th. It has been cashed very soon, but I have received nothing from them.
Shouldn't the PARADE magazine protect the consumers who trust this ad mostly because it was published in such respectful paper?

I mailed a check for $14.95 to Rogers & Webster on March 16th for 12 "Miracle Bush Tomatoes." Having a horticulture background, I should have smelled fish, but I am always open to learning something new. I learned that I am the sucker, for I have received nothing from them. I tried to access their website a few minutes ago, but it wouldn't come up.

now I read this web sight.....I too have been taken. I too will file fraud charges. shouldn't the publishing papers also have responsability to protect the consumer?

I saw the ad in PARADE magazine and assumed they were up & up company. They are also known as publishers choice and I have had problems with them before. My check for $7.90 cleared on April 18, but I have not received any tomato plants nor any comments. I have emailed but no response yet. If I had known R & W were affiliated with publishers choice, I never would have ordered from them. I did write PARADE about my problems. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I sent $7.90 on 3/15/03 and haven't received anything. I have sent a email requesting a refund. I do have hope that they will follow through, and send the check.

On March 16, 2003 I mailed a check for $7.22 for (2) two tomato plants to be shipped in (3) three to (5) five weeks. As of this date I have yet to receive the plants. I have sent (4) four Emails and a letter to both Rogers and Webster and Publisherschoice.com Now it is time to report this matter to the New York Attorney General and the California Attorney General. We need to pursue this company with a class action suit with so many negative experiences.

I mailed a check for $15.95 on March 18,2003. As of this date, May 5, 2003, I have heard zip from this company and received zilch. Today I have requested my money back but I hold out little hope. Should,by some miracle, I receive the refund, I will post the information on this site.

Mailed a check to R & W on 3/11/03, check was posted on 3/25/03. BUT, NO tomatoes to date (4/30/03). I wish I had known about this site then. I would never have placed an order. However, it looks like this site would give them a nudge to have better business practices. I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around but 10 fold. Good luck R & W with this site reaching the masses, your business won't last long.

My grandmother mailed a check on 2/02/03 for these tomatoes. It cleared the bank on 2/07/03. Here it is 04/28/03 and she hasn't received any tomatoes.

My mother is 82 years old, housebound, lives on a social security check and sent money for the Miracle Tomato bush in early March. Her check has been cashed and no tomatoes.
I tried to call but the office was not open at that time.
Thanks for this website. I had never heard of it before and now I can help her weed out the "bad" ones. Is there anything we can do to get our tomatoes or a refund?

Received my check april 7...called April 23...said it is in processing and the order will take 6-8 weeks...spoke to superviser who was rude as well as had no information.

As stated in the previous comments, I sent my money and order for the miracle bush tomatoes in Jan 2003. I e-mailed them in mid March inquiring about my order. They replied back that it would be shipped 2-3 weeks. Here it is Apr 23 and no plants or seeds. I am ready to plant outside in 2 wks. I will give them to March 31 to receive my order. If not here, I will request a refund and contact the N.Y BBB.

Well, I thought it was too good to be true and now I know it was. I guess I am just another consumer that has been duped into buying something. You see, I bought the $15.95 special, lots of pots, in the hopes that even though it was a great sounding and easy to do offer, I knew I did not have a green thumb and thought volume would untimately mean success. NOPE. I was wrong. Every single one of the plants died.

I obeyed the instructions, watering and such, and the little things sprouted. They got about two inches long, tried to make a leaf and promptly keeled over and died. Every last one of them bit the dust. Not all at once, mind you, it took some two weeks which made my pain and suffering just that much worse. Oh, well, I guess I have been taken, all be it, for a few bucks. Or, maybe not. I wrote the folks and asked them if they would stick to your guarantee and give me back my money if I am not satisfied. Well, I'm not because I have nothing but a bunch of empty peat pots.

We will just have to see what happens.

On 1/26/03 I ordered, by internet, some Miracle Bush tomato
plants after seeing a full page ad in USA WEEKEND magazine. They were to be shipped in 3-5 weeks.On 3/21/03 they had not arrived so I contacted them by internet again and was told they would be shipped in 2-3 weeks,to this date they have not been received.Today I filed a complaint with the NY,NY BBB Bureau. I think it will be a Miracle if I receive these Miracle Bush plants.This outfit also goes by the name of Rogers & Webster Box 4110 Huntington Station NY 11746.

We submitted an order along with an appropirate check for their 12 Micracle Bush tomatoes 1/21/02.

We have never received the order nor has the check been cleared.

Written inquiries have not been answered.
