This was my first time ordering from them, and every single bulb except for 7 (I ordered 100 pre-chilled tulip bulbs of various varieties) arrived rotting, molded, or squishy. I contacted customer service immediately with plenty of photos, and they were nice and helpful. They sent me replacement bulbs free of charge. But then I got the replacement bulbs, and--I wish I was kidding--the replacement bulbs were MORE DECOMPOSED THAN THE ORIGINAL BULBS THEY SENT ME. I contacted Tulip world for a full refund, no more replacements, no store credit, so hopefully they're reasonable and accommodating. All this to say, SAVE YOUR MONEY--Do not order from this company. There is NO quality control. NO ONE is looking at the inventory before sending it to customers. |

A day later, when the order was processed, I got a refund notice on my Paypal account. I knew they'd run out of all but one kind and was disappointed but these things happen. The bulbs I received were firm and in good shape and I was pleasantly surprised as it was late in the season. There was also an explanation that they'd run out of stock of the other types and they offered me free shipping the next time I order. All in all, a pleasant experience and I'm pleased with the bulbs and service. |

Occasionally, you can get something reasonable and don't have to deal with replacements. But, the majority of live plants they send are in a "hospital" condition and need major care. I ordered Calla albomaculata, a All the Jazz ITOH Peony and 3 Clematis. The Callas were the wrong variety and had no spotted leaves, and the replacements sent were extremely rotted and non-viable, and should never have been sent. The Clematis are 1-yr old, but appears to have been stored WAY TOO LONG in their bag and no one bothered to see they were dead before shipping, Plants aren't dormant in June and should show some growth, but these had none and never performed. I have over 30 Peonies and source them from all over. I only ever have problems with those I get from Tulip World, including the All That Jazz Peony from this order. Instead of getting an immediate refund that included shipping, because none of this should ever have used my money to be sent to me, I get a gift card and am told their rules don't provide for refunds. They expect me to eat the shipping for their failure and then pay it again on something else. You can't speak to a manager or owner, only the little girl that answers the phone, Lynn. Apparently she is new, too. These people are Charlatans and are no friend of the gardening community. They will scam you any way they can. |

All of the bulbs sprouted beautifully but were not the varieties I had ordered. By the time I found out there was nothing else I wanted left for an exchange so I opted to wait a year and have them send replacements, which they did. Unfortunately, again, the varieties they sent were the same as the year before even though they were labeled as the ones I wanted. So I have lost two years and a lot of work digging up plants. They were great at honoring their replace or credit policy, but what good is it when the replacements are wrong? |

Just the tiny dirt squares and what I can only assume was a clematis cutting at some point - and I paid over $60.00 just for the clematis. The 2# box of bulbs was clearly marked as being shipped from Holland Bulbs to Tulip World, then shipped to my local USPS hub before finally being shipped to me. Had I known these bulbs were coming from the negatively rated Holland Bulbs, I would never have ordered. The gladioli bulbs are small but may be okay. The begonia bulbs are tiny and have only one bud on two of them. The third looks to be rotted. |

Roots were soaked in water and rhizomes properly cared for. Only two survived with 4 never growing at all and 3 barely showing 1" high foliage then dying within six weeks. I contacted Tulip world informing them of my college education in botany & horticulture informing them that their dormancy process of drying out the rhizomes was responsible for their high failure rate. I received no response from TW. I asked for a refund but they sent a replacement order in accordance with their policy even after I indicated the high failure rate of their first order would be repeated if I did not receive bare root live plants which I requested. The replacement rhizomes and roots arrived totally dry again and had a 100% failure rate and never grew at all after an additional 6 weeks as TW required for growth. I asked for refund and was only given a credit for the plants according to their policy. I only received a refund after informing them I was turning the matter over to my credit card company and after sending them written documentation from the American Iris Society and two Iris Specialty Nurseries stating that iris roots must be kept moist or wet during transplanting and shipping directly contrary to their dormancy process of drying out their iris rhizomes and roots and shipping them in a dry, dormant state. Tulip World demonstrated no knowledge or understanding of the basic propagation methods and shipping methods for proper iris survival and growth throughout our entire communication process and never replied to any requests I made for an explanation from them for their high failure rate during the entire communication process from early April to late June 2020. |

They often have nice sales and specials where you can get a certain variety of bulb or one color of plant at a nice discount, and I've really enjoyed their package deals in the past (for example a "shade garden package" came with a whole variety of bulbs that would do well in my side yard, and they were well packaged in sawdust). I've planted bulbs at 4 different properties now and all still look to be doing well, coming back year after year! Have never had to deal with customer service or request any changes so I can't comment on that part of the business but I've been very pleased with all of my orders so far! |

There was an ink mark by that number on the enclosed order sheet, but no explanation for the missing bulbs.I called their office and was helped by a delightful lady who looked it up and said, "Well, I can't see any reason those weren't included so we'll get them out to you right away."
