I found it to be quite easy to use and appreciated it's ability to inform me of items that were out of stock. I was quite surprised when later that day I received a call from Phil Edmund's to tell me that one of the roses I ordered was out of stock. He asked if I would like a refund or a replacement. I was dumbfounded that the owner of the company would be so involved in customer service. Four business days later my roses arrived and much to my delight they were the best quality roses I have ever received by mail-order. A minimum of four canes, on each plant, as large as my index finger! They were packaged extremely well and arrived in excellent condition. Edmund's roses will be receiving more orders from me in the future as I believe they may be the best mail-order rose nursery around. |

| Positive | JanHodges (1 review) | On Apr 1, 1997, JanHodges wrote: Edmund's service is as good as it gets. Last year I got 5, two didn't start, I thought it was me and months later asked them a question (did not ask for replacements.) They replaced them. I was incredibly impressed (they also answered my email in a day.) So this year I ordered 7 more, so I had 9 including the replacements. Of those only 3 started. I have planted about 50 bare roots in the last three years, and nearly all of them have started, so I don't think it is me anymore. It was very disappointing. Nevertheless, the catalog is breathtaking and they have things that I have not seen available anywhere else. They responded to my complaint with great graciousness. |

I could not plant the roses right away, so they spent a cold, overcast week sitting in a bucket of water. However, this did not seem to harm them in any way, as they have done exceptionally well in the short time they have been in the ground, putting out new growth already. I will not hesitate to order from this company again. They were great to deal with over the phone and their roses appear to be first-rate in quality. |

Their specimens are the best I've seen and they arrive on time and in excellent shape. No complaints, and I highly recommend them. |

Very nice people to deal with, many times you can talk to the owner and his wife who are very knowledgeable. All are very helpful when it comes to disease resistant plants and they are more than happy to help solve specific problems you are having with your plants. |

They specialize in exhibition hybrid teas, some grandifloras and floribundas. The catalog has changed in the last two years because Fred has mostly retired. His son Phil and his wife Cathy have taken over. But I am disappointed with the descriptions, which were in the past in some cases, hysterical! when Fred was doing them. They seem to have gone to the usual one-description-does-all format. HATE IT!!! But the catalogue is just gorgeous! This year I'm getting Carmen (HT). A better version of Papa Meilland. |
| Positive | dsoper (1 review) | On Mar 1, 1995, dsoper wrote: Highest quality plants, vigorous and easily Grade 1. They have a wide range of HTs that should meet the need of most anyone. The descriptions are a little over the top, but the plants don't disappoint. I also purchased my drip-irrigation system through them at a price below the manufacturer's catalog prices. A great asset to PNW rose growers. |
