We purchased $800 in fruit and berry plants from Ison's. We were well pleased with the size and quality of all of the plants recieved. They were promptly planted and now ALL have leafed out and look healthy. It looks like we will have berries in June on the Blueberries. A good experience for us, best prices we could find and the quality was great. We recommend Isons to others. |

Since some were not available, I was told that these would be shipped. After calling a number of times I finally received all but two of the trees in my order. Time passed and when I finally spoke to a representative in April, she told me that these two items would not be available this year; therefore I would receive a refund. When the refund did not arrive in what I thought should be a timely manner, I telephoned and since I never spoke to a live individual, I left messages, then e-mailed. As of today, two weeks have gone by and there has been no returned call, nor e-mail other than the automatic response, and, more importantly, no refund. Maybe tomorrow? |

Unlike those I ordered from another company which came with a few straggly roots and appear to be mostly dead twigs. More on that later. I heartily recommend Ison's. |

| Positive | sandyinar251 (1 review) | On Feb 10, 2009, sandyinar251 Little Rock, AR wrote: I purchased the Ison and Pam muscadine varieties several years ago. The muscadines they produce are great and my whole family enjoys them. I recently placed my order for several more vines to expand our vineyard. I received my vines very quickly and Ison's was once again very pleasant to work with. |
| Positive | Gardenpoint (1 review) | On Feb 10, 2009, Gardenpoint Tulsa, OK wrote: After researching many online nurseries - I decided to order my fruit trees and berry plants from Ison's. I have been very happy with the experience. The office staff was helpful and informative. My order was shipped when I requested and the plants were very healthy. They are now in the ground and I can't wait till Spring. I have already recommended Ison's to my friends and family. |

Order was just received Feb. 6th. But credit card was charged first week of Dec. Also after receiving trees we have had questions and left 2 voicemails with no response. POOR customer service. They seem to have no concern after they get your money!!! |
| Positive | organic_tomato (11 reviews) | On Feb 4, 2009, organic_tomato Tyrone, GA (Zone 7b) wrote: I ordered 3 blueberries, 1 pomegranate, and 1 muscadine in December. The shipment arrived in January. All plants arrived dormate, bare-rooted, and the roots were packed in water-absorbent gel. The pomegranate was at least 3ft tall, well branched and well rooted. The blueberries ranged from 1.5 to 2.5 feet high, also well branched and well rooted. The muscadine was also healthy, with vines approximately 2 ft long. |
| Positive | virginiahamm (1 review) | On Jan 20, 2009, virginiahamm Cleveland, VA wrote: I ordered fruit trees, blueberries and muscadine plants from Ison's early January. I received them in about a week by Fed Ex. They were well packaged and included detailed planting instructions. The plants were beautiful - very healthy and much larger than what I expected. This was a very good experience and I am very pleased with my purchase. I also like buying my plants from a grower. I recommend Ison's and will continue to give them by business. |

I was originally unsure of what varieties of muscadines to order. When I called for help, the staff at Ison's were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me great advice and helped me pick out the varieties that will work best for me. I'm extremely happy with the service and the product. I highly recommend Ison's Nursery and I will definitely order from them again. |
| Positive | GLONG6 (3 reviews) | On May 23, 2008, GLONG6 Pierre Part, LA wrote: I spent over $400.00 this spring on blackberry and muscadine plants from 5 internet nurseries. The only plants that are growing are those bought from Isons. They will not answer e-mail, letters or faxes, but in service & quality they are the best !!! |
| Positive | dekalb06 (6 reviews) | On Mar 16, 2008, dekalb06 De Kalb, TX wrote: I ordered 3 muscadine vines on the 4th of March, after hearing their patented introduced varieties praised by a NAFEX grape specialist. The plants arrived in 10 days, well-packed with great root systems and tops. And they included an extra of their variety 'Ison' for free. |
| Negative | fixintogo (1 review) | On Jan 25, 2008, fixintogo Jackson, TN wrote: I placed an order in Oct. 2007 for fruit trees, strawberries, muscadine vines and loganberry vines. They cashed my check and it cleared. By middle of January I had not heard anything from them. I called and they told me they would ship last week. I received nothing. I called back on 01/23/08 and was told, once again, they would ship next week. I cancelled the order. I am so disappointed that I did not get my order. I need to find a nursery that will do what it advertises. A very disappointing attempt to get muscadine vines. |

Prices were very good. They were helpful in picking out the varieties and how to plant. Answered a lot of questions for me. I will definitely order from them again. |

| Positive | rwp (1 review) | On Jan 16, 2007, rwp Pineville, N.C., United States wrote: I placed my order on 12-01-2006. The order came in a timely manner and I was pleased with the plants I received. The liquid fence I ordered was on backorder. I waited about a month and called to check on it. The liquid fence was still on backorder so I requested a refund. The lady on the phone told me that she would leave a note for someone to process my refund. As of 01-16-07 I still have not received it. I feel that if you place an order and an item is on backorder they should notify you so you can order from another source and not keep you waiting. I am making this comment as neutral at the present time as it has been only a week since my refund request. It will go negative very soon if I do not hear ffom them. On January 18th, 2007, rwp changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following: I received a phone call today 1-18-07 explaining the mixup on my backordered Liquid Fence order. It seems someone there thought I ordered a gallon instead of a quart. The problem has been resolved and I am happy they took the time to call me personally and explain the problem. My comment is now positive and I will order from them again. |
| Neutral | nursebee (1 review) | On Feb 26, 2005, nursebee Bethel, NC (Zone 7b) wrote: I have ordered almost $1,000 worth of stuff from them. It has all arrived in good shape. I was surprised when they charged me at the time of ordering, even if months in advance. This included the $120 for 20 Nobles vines that they did not have or send. They did send me a check, which I did not cash as I lost it. Several attempts to get my money back have not been successful (they have not respsonded to 2 emails). The forum that they used to have on web site was top notch, problem has not been solved for over a year. |
| Positive | NewHopeGardens (3 reviews) | On Feb 12, 2005, NewHopeGardens Wellford, SC wrote: One of the best mail-order experiences I've ever had. I ordered via Internet on Tuesday, received my fruit trees on Friday. There was one error in the order (wrong variety). I contacted the Company via e-mail and received the correct variety two days later, no questions and no hassle. The trees were better shaped with nicer roots than any I could buy locally and much better than those I've purchased from other growers in past years. Highly recommend this grower. |
| Positive | DeborahEvans (1 review) | On May 20, 2004, DeborahEvans wrote: WOW. The muscadine plants that I ordered were beautiful. Amazing root system. I am very pleased! They were very helpful in helping me select the varities that I needed -making sure that I had correct pollination. I also ordered some blueberries and blackberries - they were also exceptional. The pricing was the best that I have found, even the shipping cost was below what I expected. My order arrived right on time, as requested. I also like knowing that they grow the muscadines themselves (Apparently a family owned business since 1934) and not just buying and reselling everything in their catalog. I know I will order from them again! |
| Positive | jameswilliam (1 review) | On May 20, 2004, jameswilliam wrote: The best buying experience with a mail order company I have ever had. Ison's has been excellent. They have great prices and high quality plants. Would highly recommend to other growers. Sales staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They had many plants to choose from. I'll definitely be getting my future plants from them. |
| Negative | jenzahnjones (1 review) | On Apr 7, 2004, jenzahnjones wrote: After viewing their catalog, I was very excited to order from Ison's. I faxed my order on March 8th, ordering one dwarf peach tree and three blackberry bushes. When I recieved my credit card statement on March 10th, there was a charge from Ison's on it. The dollar amount was for the full order, so I expected to see it arrive any day. According to UPS, my area is only a three day delivery from them. By March 26th I was concerned. I emailed the company with no results. On March 29th I called. A polite lady told me that the order was ready for shipment and would be sent that day or the next. Still I received nothing. I called their customer service line again this morning to cancel my order. They didn't even ask why. I think it is unprofessional to place an order on a credit card before it ships. On top of that I was lied to about my order being ready to ship. I will never order from them again and I encourage others to think twice before they do. |

Family rep was very very helpful with matching plants for best orchard. |
| Positive | klz001 (9 reviews) | On Jul 11, 2003, klz001 Columbia, SC wrote: The muscadines I ordered from these folks arrived in good shape. The prices were reasonable, and the plants shipped when they said they would. Can't speak for their fruit trees, but the muscadines were fine. Be aware, though, that muscadines can be touchy the first year or so in the ground, and you need to make sure you live in an area where they will survive the winter. |

| Positive | kstair (1 review) | On Feb 9, 2003, kstair wrote: I've purchased plants from Ison's in the past and like the other commenter said, their plants were some of the healthiest and largest plants that I have ever received through the mail. Plus, when I called I was able to talk to someone who was very knowledgeable about the plants they were selling and he spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me giving me guidance more than one time. |

This plant is dying. I have asked this company for help to select female plants for my two males. I don't get any answer from them. I am new to muscadines, so I think that a seller shall advise and help a buyer to obtain the product you need. This is not done here. I will never buy again from them. |
