Native Foods Nursery

I really wanted to love Native Foods Nursery but I can’t for two reasons. 1) it’s been 8 days since I placed an order and they still haven’t shipped. 2) I’ve reached out numerous times and recd only one reply which was “you’re in the queue. It’ll ship when it’s your turn” So just frustrating.

Just received several plants in both the 4" ecopots and 1 gallon pots and am very impressed with the quality of the plants and the attention to packaging. All plants came with leaf buds or were fully leaved out with the exception of the Northline Saskatoon Serviceberry, which I could see they did a scratch test on and it was very green and healthy beneath. Plants had very moist soil, were carefully wrapped in paper around the base of the plant and tape was put on to hold them in place. They were then put in smaller open cardboard boxes held in place around the pot with the tape and then stapled to the side of the shipping box to prevent movement. I placed 2 separate orders totalling 25 plants and had no broken stems at all. I was most impressed by my vigorous 3+ foot black gooseberries, the salal and lingonberries. We just bought our property and already have spent over $2k on the orchard and berry patches so I'm on hold for purchasing more this year, but next spring I plan on placing a larger order with this company. Highly recommend!

Just ordered two young elderberry plants from Native Foods Nursery. Plants came in VERY healthy and smartly packaged. Standard shipping took 4 business days and arrived on time. I will certainly keep them in mind for future purchases.

Fast delivery of very healthy plants. I've had success with their huckleberries and serviceberries, but not the salal or camas. The salal plants failed from root weevils, but the problem was my garden, not the plants or soil they came in. Justin offered to refund my order of several salal plants or send a new set, but I declined, as I knew the problem was my site. But that goes to show how much his company stands behind their plants!

Buyer Beware! Shop elsewhere. I received 3 very dead plants in bone dry soil. "Eco-packaging" may be well-intended, but isn't worth much if the contents are DOA. Customer service was unresponsive to requests for a full refund.

I was very impressed by the packaging! All the bare root plant's I'd ordered arrived securely packed with damp roots wrapped in burlap. Every plant was clearly labeled. It was obvious they put a lot of care and effort into these plants every step of the way. Though dormant, the plants all look very healthy and I can't wait to see them grow!

The owner just called me and my plants are on the way tomorrow. Very responsive.

I ordered three bare root black raspberries. They are much larger than I had expected, and they have that spring to them that feels like a healthy dormant plant should. The packaging was so secure that they even emailed a guide on the best way to unpack them. I'm very happy with my purchase from this company.

I purchased 8 golden currant plants which were very hard to find!. They came packaged extremely well and the plants were in eco pots which can be planted and were thoroughly and firmly rooted very well. I was very pleased and would definitely order again with no hesitation! A very nice company to deal with and apparently they later (after I received my plants) had a price change or something that I was unaware of and yet I(out of the blue) received a partial refund without knowing or even asking about it !!! :) that is great service!!!

Fast shipping with excellent packaging. Plants were exactly as described. Native Foods Nursery clearly puts thought and care into each plant and that really shows through when you receive the order. Great selection of Northwest Native Plants. I will be a frequent customer.
