Secret Seed Cartel

One of the best organic vendors I've ever used. They have been established for over 12 years. I've ordered from them since the beginning and never had anything but beautiful tomato and pepper plants. Their ability to seek and and find really unique varieties is un-matched. Seems like some of the unfavorable reviews are more about the postal service than the actual company. Shame to blame such a wonderful tomato enthusiast with the postal errors. We will always be a customer and thank you SSC for all the great seeds you've sent. We appreciate you.

Do not waste your time or money with this company. I placed an order on February 9, 2024, for some tomato seeds and I finally received the package today, March 26, 2024, and my package was empty. There was a note stating that my seeds had been confiscated and destroyed for lack of a phytosanitary certificate. I would have gladly paid a little extra for a phytosanitary certificate. But the company specifically says on their website that they do not offer phytosanitary certificates. I believe the company shipped these seeds to me knowing they would likely be confiscated, but I was not informed at the time of purchase that that was a likely outcome. I will not do business with them again!

In search for a specific tomato variety I stumbled across thesecretseedcartel. As the website looked a bit outdated I decided to order only two seed packets to see how it turns out. I orded on January 15, 2023. It took an hour or so for the order confirmation to arrive. Five days later, I received an announcement that the seeds are ready for shipment. They ship from France and it took four days for the seeds to arrive in Germany. Even though I only ordered two seed packets they added another tomato variety as a gift. And I would like to add that they send more than 10 seeds per packet, it looks more like 20 or 30 seeds each. I am very happy with my order.

They seemed to have an interesting selection of seeds. Before ordering from them I checked them out on Dave’s Garden and saw there were no negative reviews—only 2 positives. So I put in a rather large order. Then waited. After a week, I still hadn’t received any confirmation. In my experience as a farmer who orders from several suppliers, this is usually a bad sign. I wrote to the company. Now 3 weeks later I still have received no response. I went to their website today and it looks like it is not working. Ugh! Does anyone have any current information about this company???

Unique seeds, great prices and shipping wasn't too bad. I can't wait to grow my micro dwarf tomatoes. Oh and they included a free seed with my order!
