I placed an order for 5 Gingers in December 2021. I have had no communication from Gingerwood (Tim) since then despite repeated emails checking on the shipping date. I have tried calling several times and the mailbox is full. Today I am requesting my money back from my credit card for non-fulfillment. BEWARE!

I planned to do a large scale ginger planting in my yard so I ordered a sample batch of about 10 gingers from Tim. The package arrived with some tiny rhizome (one is like pea size tiny) and others completely dried out. Tim responded my email and assure me they would grow. Well, 7 weeks later they did not. All my other gingers are already at least 1 foot tall now. I sent several emails to Tim but no longer receive any response. Very disappointed.

Posted on July 1, 2019, updated March 28, 2020 I like Gingerwood Nursery. Tim is introducing some difficult to find species and offers them at a fair price. These are not abundantly available, thus some may not be huge specimens, but I was pleased with the size for the price and they were very healthy. I probably won't order in late June again because of the heat waves we can get in Texas, which stressed my order a little. But, it rehydrated well and bottomline I'm pleased with everything I received and from Tim's care and responsiveness. I'll definitely order again and will recommend Tim to my gardening and collector friends. Thank you Tim! I'll be back soon! Good luck to you!

Tim and Gingerwood are thriving in south Louisiana near Baton Rouge, (where I live) and continuing to introduce new species. His interests appear to be in all the zingiberales and aroids. His website is unchanged: www.gingerwoodnursery.com

I ordered $30 worth of Banana seeds on December 12. I understand that it was around the holidays, so I was not expecting them to come right away. Well, after about two weeks, I sent Gingerwood nursery an e-mail. I got no response, so I called, and left a message saying to call me back or e-mail me with a responce on when my seeds will come. I really wanted to get these started ASAP to have them ready by early summer. I got no response. I waited another week, which was earlier this week, and called twice more during the week and still have not heard from them. It is now January 8th. I have heard that possibly this Tim is in Asia on an expedition, but I would think that he could still check messages, e-mail or get them shipped out. I don't understand how these people can run a business. I'll let you all know when or if I ever get my seeds...

Fantastic! This is where I got my original "Sulee Rainbow". Tim is wonderful I communicate with him weekly to find out what new Curcuma he will have for the season. Best Nursery I have ever dealt with (and I have dealt with a lot)! You CANNOT go wrong with Gingerwood Nursery

This is an awesome nursery. I ordered many rare Musa seeds, I even got extras and others for free. Best place to buy banana seeds, dont look anywhere else! Tim Chapman is very knowlegable about what he sells and sells many rare and hard to find items. A big up to Tim for setting the nursery example.

I have ordered from this company two years in a row and found the service to be of the highest standards, and the quality of the plants is just great. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for Gingers, very knowledgable also. This year I noticed they have a new website with lots more information including growing information which is rare for a mailorder company. Raven Bourg

One could not ask for better service and selection from a Ginger nursery. Tim Chapman runs the nursery and he handles everything first class and promptly. The plants and rhizomes are always large and fresh, and best of all, they are exactly what they are supposed to be. It's nice not having to worry about getting a plant and then growing it out to find out you have the wrong plant. Highest marks for this nursery, Scott Durand
