from West Bend, WI AWESOME plants, healthy & huge. Big bare roots, and they often throw in an extra plant. Highly recommended. I order every year!

from Blytheville, AR (Zone 7b) Ordered 12 Tanacetum coccineum ''James Kelway'' (red pyrethrum) plants Tuesday, September 15, 2009. They acknowledged the order by email immediately. Hauser's sent an invoice September 21, 2009 but there was no mention of ship date. I contacted them (email) and Jim responded promptly that ''The order was shipped 9/21 should recieve by 9/25''. The Kelway pyrethrums arrived via UPS on the 24th. "James Kelway" Pyrethrums were transplanted 090927 after a day of soaking into previously prepared bed. Hauser's sent 13 but there was a double so I actually transplanted 14. AS of today, Oct 6, all plants have new growth and expect them to survive(with some mulch and cover for winter). Several of them are doing very, very good. The plants were well packed in sphagnum moss as bareroot, or, if you will, 'semi-bareroot' since there was no dirt but ample s. moss. ALL of the tops had been cutoff of the plants leaving about a 2-3" stub of mostly stems and a few 'baby' leaves. It was not what was expected because they sell ''field grown'' live plants. They were very slightly stressed upon arrival but ALL the plants looked healthy after the soak. I had a lot of trouble finding these plants (& seeds too) from reputable dealers at even somewhat reasonable prices. Hauser's order was 30 bucks (total) which was more than I wanted pay but about the same or less than what I would pay locally, if I could have found them here(USDA Zone 7b). All other web sites were unsuitable, by reputation, price or out of stock. The James Kelway(same name as the 19th century horticulturist) sold by Hauser's are misspelled as '' Kelaway ''. They should correct that so search engines will be able to find them. They should also add their name to the Painted Daisy Tanacetum coccineum ''James Kelway''(plant # 103464) vendor list here at Dave's. I would (prbly will) buy from them again.

from Ocklawaha, FL (Zone 9a) I ordered it and received it when it was promised. It was packed wonderfully, and safely to protect the plants. I ordered 3 groups of 12 and received anywhere from 16 to 21 plants in each grouping. They were HUGE and all ready to start growing and will most definitely bloom this season! I would definitely order from them again and hope they expand their choices so I can order all of my perennials from them! I highly recommend them to everyone!

from Milton, MA (Zone 5a) Great value Great plants Just wish they had more variety. I am looking for other bare root growers especially for shade and semi shade plants.

from Garwood, NJ Great value. I thought that I would receive individual plants but received clumps of plants! All had large healthy roots. Shipping was right when I asked for it. All plants groups labeled and moist. I'll order next spring for sure.

I have been gardening for over 30 years and have purchased from Hauser's Superior View Farm since 1985. First of all the values are outstanding -- especially if you are looking to start a large garden. Out of all companies I've worked with, I go back to Hauser's because, in my opinion, they are the best and I have never been disappointed. Large stock provide beautiful gardens in the same year. The quality in packing and shipping ensures excellent success. I've lived in Minnesota, Chicago, New York, Iowa and Mississippi and my gardens have stopped people in the street. Usually in the second year, I can divide some of my plants and share with neighbors or expand my garden further. If you're only purchasing from one place, my recommendation would be to use Hauser's.

Hauser's provides plants with very strong root systems. Large plants immediately establish themselves in the garden. Shipping method is excellent and quantities generous. A top-notch provider.

I have ordered several times from Hauser's and have given their address to many gardening friends. They are a WONDERFUL source for plants. I have had 100% success rate with each and every order. Highly recommended!

Moderate selection of species, but GREAT prices on 12 or more plants. They ship bare-root. I've had near-100% success with their plants. PS: Their "dozen" is always more than 12. I'm zone 4/5, and their plants have always been hardy for me.
