Escape the crowds of Honolulu for only $5 to an oasis of 5.5 acres of tropical tranquility on a large city block. Much of the garden is under the canopy of giant exceptional trees giving you the sense of tropical the forest.
Rare and endangered plants as well as 25 exceptional trees are throughout the garden. Huge ferns, cycads, colorful heliconias and gingers fill the understory of the middle terraces. Many varieties of orchids and bromiliads color the paths to the left of the entrance and around the orchid house near the business office. Beware of falling fruit, as palms are in every corner of the garden with a concentration north of the herb garden. Be sure to find the Erythrinas and Plumerias and other great trees around the parking lot corridor.

Open from 9-4 daily, guided tours at 1 on Monday-Saturday. The store carries some different items to entice your spending habits.
