To the best of my recollection I've always had good experiences with this nursery. Last year we purchased five lilac bushes from Weston and plan on purchasing more this spring. Their lilac bushes are really something--I don't know of any other nursery in the area that carries the selection they do at such reasonable prices. Their gardening supplies can be very overpriced and last year I recall that their pumpkins and gourds were outrageously overpriced, but I usually go elsewhere for those anyway.

I have young children and we've used their restrooms--I don't recall any issues with the cleanliness.

They do have a relatively knowledgeable staff. Last spring I was in a pinch and needed some floating row covers and they were the only nursery I called that knew what I was talking about.

Overall they are great for plant selection and prices for plants in general, but their prices shoot up on garden supplies and seasonal decorations. I'd go elsewhere for those.

This nursery was recommended to me by my mother's garden designer, and I had great luck last year. In fact, it was the only place where I could find mature Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Girard's Rainbow' and Kirengeshoma palmata. They stock tons of shrubs and trees, a pretty good selection of perennials, and a nice garden shop with a better-than-usual selection of annuals, especially for shade. They also have a huge selection of pots, and they sell garden furniture, as well. Interesting attractions are a mini electric train and a couple of penned-in goats. Last fall they had a mobile tea van, but I haven't see it this year. And their public bathroom is absolutely filthy.

I'm not as satisfied with their selection or their customer service this year. I've gone at least four times and all but one time came away empty handed. All the staff walk around with their heads down, like the last thing they want is to answer any questions. No one has ever approached me and asked if I needed anything. Their catalog lists items that they don't have (but would typically have at this time of year), and when I questioned someone in customer care, she acted like I was bothering her and didn't want to look up the plant until I politely pressed.

I was really happy to "discover" this place last year, but I've experienced noting but a decline in products and service this year. I'll still keep them in my rounds, but only if I need something I can't get anywhere else.

I hired Weston Nurseries last October for a landscape project. They were very good, from the landscape designer (who met me twice just to talk about the project before I hired them) to the people that planted all the shrubs. They are very professional and the quality of the plants is really good. I'll surely come back there this Spring to buy more plants and may even have a second project done with them.

This is an extremely well run operation. Their plants are healthy and the sales staff is helpful and knowledgeable. My understanding is they are selling off a piece of the land. They have over 400 hundred acres, so they could sell off a few lots, and still have plenty of space to serve the needs of local gardeners and landscapers. This place is worth the trip.

Before venturing to Weston, call first. This long-standing premier nursery will likely be sold with the land developed as residential or commercial use. Whether or not the Nursery will remain in operation is up in the air. Do a Google news search to learn more.

I always found them to have excellent product at very high prices. Plant selection is (was) the best in the region.
