We moved from the city to 7 1/2 acres. I have lanscaped like you wouldn't believe. I have have a large variety of climbing plants that span approximate 350' of fence line. Additionally, my husband planted 65 ruby red oleanders along the back fence (they would not bloom until Thelma told me what to put on them). This doesn't even make a dent! As far as I am concerned I can't get enough blomming plants, they are everywhere. My husband says he consults so I can go see my friends at Adams Nursery. Thelma can answer ANY question you have. Believe me, she gets lots from me. Her plants are healthy and beautiful. She taught my husband how to control our gopher problem. If you are having a problem, Thelma will (for a fee - TOTALLY WORTH IT) visit your property and provide you with a solution. I harvested more than 500 lbs of tomatoes. They were awesome, even canned some. We had jalapinos out the ... and are still enjoying them. She has given us advice on every type of landscape I have. IN A NUTSHELL, THELMA ADAM'S IS THE BEST!
When we moved to Rockport 15 years ago from West Texas, we visited and purchased plants from all the local nurseries in our surrounding area including Corpus Christi. We didn't have a clue on what or how to plant anything tropical nor had any experience living on a sandbar. We quickly found ourselves returning to Adams Nursery for all our landscaping needs for many reasons. First, Adams does not carry any plant that will not grow in this area. The plants are always healthy and will thrive with regular care unless an act of God interviens, i.e. severe and prolonged drought or uncommon winter snow! Second, the professionalism, experience and expertise of the owners cannot be surpassed. They are always friendly and have never been "too busy" to thoroughly answer our questions whether they be on the how/when/where to plant a particular species to how to get rid of gophers. We will continue to be customers of Adams Nursery as long as we live in this area. If you haven't visited Adams Nursery in Rockport, you haven't visited the best!

I have never in my 62 years of gardening found a nusery that treated me like an old friend from the minute I first walked onto the property. All the employee's have Master degree's in Horticulture and can answer any question with ease. Just bring in a leaf off a plant in question, and they can tell you what you want to know. With a full line of products to take care of anything from Cutter Ants to exotic inside or outdoor plants. And everything from vegetable plants and Herbs, plus the huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants and pond plants and trees, bushes, decorative pots and lawn decor, I always walked away with more than I went there for! Oh, and don't forget the huge bags of soil, peats and manure too! There are even specialty bags of plant and tree food made up by Thelma, the owner, to make everything green and healthy. Sometimes, even when I am not buying, I go to Adams Nursery just to enjoy the beautiful area and to loose myself among the beautiful flora and flauna. Rockport has it's challenges, being that it is actually a sand bar along the Gulf coast, making planting anything a challenge. So, knowing I have a nursery like Adam's to go to is very comforting.

This little nursery has so many treasures. The Bird of Paradise, Jatropha, Ginger, Plumeria looked so sad in the makeshift greenhouses now because of the weather. Just wait until spring and summer for beautiful tropicals. They know what they are doing; therefore, they are very helpful plus they grow 'little ones' in small containers.
