Confreda Farms is truly a delight with top quality plants, a nice selection of locally grown fruits & veggies, homemade fudge and ice cream, and fun-filled family events during the holidays. While they have plenty of parking, it fills up fairly quickly during their holiday events ~ so plan accordingly.
I've purchased potting soils, lavendars, fresh tasty veggies, and their fudge - it's decadent!!!
As they're located on a beautiful scenic stretch of road, I find the drive to Confreda Farms quite pleasurable and relaxing (and I despise driving in general).
They offer free liquid fertilizer ~ people may help themselves by bringing their own container(s). I always forget to bring a container, so I haven't taken advantage of their nice generous offer.
While I really dig my visits to Confreda Farms, I have encountered some sales folks who aren't knowledgeable about their plants. And, on a couple of occasions I was charged variable amounts for identical products purchased on the same day (when I didn't buy enough and returned for more). The people are really nice there, although I would have rated them "excellent" for product-knowledge and firm-fixed pricing. Other than these experiences, Confreda Farms is a great destination for potting soils, plants, farm-fresh fruits & veggies, some of their delectable treats, or any of their holiday events!
