Information on Audubon State Historic Site and Oakley House

The nearly 200-year-old Oakley House is where John James Audubon sketched many of the birds found in his famous collection, The Birds of America. The property includes his home (which is now a museum), formal gardens, an outdoor kitchen and barns, short walking trails (Cardinal Trail is 1/2 mile long; Mason Trail is 1/4 mile long) and a large pavilion.
