The New England Wildflower Society is recognized as one of the leading plant conservation societies in the US. Their mission is to help protect rare and endangered native plants of New England. They do this by cataloging native plant populations, collecting and propagating rare plants for reintroduction into the wild. They also sponsor courses, events and speakers to educate people about their mission and how to avoid introducing invasive plant species that threaten native plants. To fulfill their mission, they run Garden in the Woods native plant garden in Framingham, Mass and recently have opened another site in Whately, Mass called Nasami Farm Native Plant Nursery & Sanctuary. I believe they do an excellent job conserving plants and educating people. I've learned so much attending their classes, reading their magazines and materials and visiting Garden in the Woods.
