While I'm not a big fan of corporate theme parks, Busch Gardens, Tampa is an exception. It isn't just the free beer (limit 2 per person) either. The park has world class gardens and landscaping with an overall African theme. The Park is divided into areas of "Africa" like Congo, Tanganyika, Egypt and so on. African wildlife lives here in man made natural habitats that truly mimic nature.Free roaming predators are so cleverly separated from the herds of would be prey animals that the barriers are indiscernible. We have been season passholders for 10 years and sometimes stop in for a couple hours just to sit in a secluded area and admire the flora. If your tastes run more to adventure there are world class thrill rides, especially the three BIG roller coasters. The Serengheti train ride tours the perimeter of the park and allows close up viewing of antelope herds, giraffe, zebra and several Rhinoceros as well as the unique landscaping. Reasonably priced food is available at several themed restaurants. Special events are highlighted on the web site as are admission and parking prices.
