Information on Alco Discount Store

Every spring Alco sets up a large garden center in their parking lot. There are two tents with annuals, vegetables, herbs, garden supplies, ornaments etc. There is also a large outdoor section with trees, shrubs, pavers, bags of soil & garden rock and some garden furniture.
I am very glad to have this resource available but have to say the quality and care given to the plants seems to often be quite poor. On opening day this year there were already gnats flying around the soil of the potted plants in the tent. The plants were soaking wet. If you are careful in your choices you can find some really nice plants though at a usually very good price. When the plants go on sale, usually in May, there are great buys.
