Ditto to all that has been said. Very knowledgeable staff, healthy plants, some (most?) grown on site. Not the place to go for the cheapest prices, but the place for advice and large, healthy plants. Good variety of shrubs and trees in addition to perennials and annuals.

I was searching for a CHASTE TREE and someone at Lowes suggested Homewood. I drove there one day, just to look around, and found they were very nice AND knowledgeable. Further, I was told that they were going to get a delivery of 6 chaste trees the very next day.

Sure enought when I, and my traveling companion Pepper (black Lab), got there, there were 6 very nice chaste trees and we quickly picked one. I haven't yet asked for them to order something for me but I think that would also be successful.

Large beautiful nursery with a diverse selection of trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials. When I visited in late Spring, they had many varieties of azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, japanese maples, shrubs for shady areas, and J&P potted roses. Inside the greenhouse were bedding plants and houseplants, plus gardening supplies like seeds, tools, fountains, fertilizers, and containers. The very knowledgable, friendly and ubiquitous staff were able to patiently answer all of my questions. Prices are in line with other independent nurseries in the area.
