I've come to appreciate the different look this gives the plant, and the pretty way the flowers sway in a breeze. It's a nice contrast to all my other clematis. Also, it's super hardy! Mine is in a raised bed and gets high wind off the lake in my zone 4 yard and still grows beautifully!
