They were the UGLIEST tomatoes I ever grew! After waiting forever for the green ribs to ripen I picked one- sliced it up. There was a LOT of core and the irregular shape told me that after I trimmed the core out I was not going to use these as slicers. AND I said I will never grow these again!
Then I ate the pieces I had left.
Without a doubt the BEST tasting tomato I grew last year! I was in a tizzy- to grow again or not? I think I will have to try these again- I only grew one plant so you never know.
I used these to make marinated tomatoes several times, but mostly just trimmed them and ate them- as good a tomato taste as you'll find!
Ugly though!
