The bright pink flowers with yellow eyes are produced in small clusters atop 6" stems. Excellent subject for the woodland garden or peatbed. They hail from SW China where they grow in open, moist forests, shrubby screes and near streamsides at 2300-4500 m elevation. The plant is completely herbaceous and disappears in winter.
