We collected these plants from a discard pile where the rhizomes had sat out in the sun for several weeks. We planted them in our raised...Read More bed. They bloomed the next year. Accent is a strong grower and multiples well. Over the past 10 years, I've divided them several times. There is no problem with rot or disease. They are not fragrant. The stems are strong and stand up in rainy weather, when some more modern varieties fall over. I like this variety a lot.

Grows very well here. Divided rhizomes bloom first year after division.
