It is a compact selection with smaller leaves (making a little finer texture) and relatively smaller but more numerous flowers. Like others of this species it blooms heaviest in June, a little in July and August, and then some more in September. Potentillas were most popular in the 1970's into the 1990's, but have lost some popularity because they get ragged with age and need proper pruning with hand pruners; but they are still offered by many nurseries. They sometimes die out after a number of years, though they can live about 30 years.
