Otherwise, the plant is attractive - green leaves with dark purple stalks/stems. The blossoms are purple/lilac. The pods are very dark purple turning to dark red and are about one and a half to a little over two inches long. The peppers from my plant were relatively mild, easy to eat raw, and had a nice flavor. They make an attractive and unobtrusive addition to salads and salsas. Didn't experience any problems with pests or diseases, and although not producing, the plant is standing up to the heat. I hope it becomes more productive this fall!
