I inherited this shrub with the house and it was overgrown and really hard to see the blooms. I knew nothing about Camellias but I decid...Read Moreed to prune it to espalier it against the fence. I figured if it didn't work out I'd just get rid of it.

A year after the big prune it bloomed non-stop from August through the end of January. I think the espalier form really shows off the bloom of this Camellia. I probably would never have had the courage to do it now that I know a lot more about Camellias but I'm glad I was so ignorant since it really has turned out well!
