On the other hand, the pepper "scotch bonnet" doesn't resemble a tam o shanter, more like the habaneros.

It is a very hot pepper that grows to about 1 ½” in diameter and only 1” long. The name comes from the shape of the pepper as it resembles a yoyo, or spinning top, when fully-grown. Yellow when growing and turning to a deep orange at maturity with all the heat that anyone would want.
