I have no other tree peonies, and this is definitely a different flower-form sl different, flowered 10 days later than my usual yellow blooms.Question is this: are these grafted plants, & is this a sprout off the the mother graft? How odd it happened 10 years after I have had this growing in my garden! Comments?

This American hybrid has clear lemon yellow flowers marked red at the center and is tall and upright.
It won the American Peony Society Gold Medal for 1989.
Semi-double flowers, 5 feet tall.
While all tree peonies can take full sun, this will make their flowers fade more quickly. Best to choose a spot that gets some shade during the blooming months of April and May.
