I have discovered from reading that colder regions are about one to two months behind my garden although printed information says that it blooms later than other Magnolias. It is one of the plants I am asked most about.
The color of 'Galaxy' is apparently very dependent on the acidity of the soil and can be a very dark pink if the soil is on the acid side. In more neutral soils the flowers will be medium pink.
