Leaves bunch tightly along the trunks of this dwarf cultivar, similar to that of 'mikawa yatsubusa' and somewhat like that of 'shishigash...Read Moreira' but with an odd mixture of pinks, bronzes, and greens in the spring. The goshiki is supposed to represent subtle variegation in the leaves, however this variegation may have been lost during cultivation for many specimens. Regardless, this is still a nice cultivar with an unusual appearance.
