The flowers come in lateral racemes with up to 10 flowers each. These flowers are big, over 6 centimeters in diameter, with pale pink or white petals spotted with brown or marroon. The lip is short and usually pink/purple. However, there are lots of cultivars with different colors (the one on the photo I updated had a tan lip, and purplish spots), though the spotted pattern persists.
It needs some heat and humidity. It will grow better around something where the roots can attach themselves, like a tree or a plate of coconut fiber, or tree fern fiber - which should be watered regularly. Older and healthier plants can tolerate full sun, but partial shade is the normal.
