It is blue-green in color even bluish in certain angles. Due to its size and water requirements it cannot compete with Brahea on rocky mountain slopes. The mountain form of Sabal uresana is not as robust a grower as the coastal form. Its colonies still need to be close to fresh or seasonal water sources. However it is a stunning silver to almost white in color from a distance. When coming up to the mountain form you are struck by the lack of armament on the petioles and the absolute silver-white appearance to the leaves.

Don had it for 15 years, it grows really really slow. No signs of trunk
in 15 years and its about 6 foot tall, its a much slower grow palm
compare with Sabal Palmetto even Sabal Birmingham.
