As with my other young trees I did...Read More not expect any blooms but yesterday (May 17th, hey, for my birthday) I thought I saw a yellow leaf and to my surprise, it was a dainty flower with more buds waiting to open. Like this tree. Popped in the ground with some added potting soil. Watered every couple days. Nothing special but it took without problem.

I have been nursing a TIPU along for five years here in the extreme Southeastern corner of Arizona. I have attempted several methods for preventing the TIPU from freezing all the way back. During the non winter months this tree does exhibit a robust growth. Temperatures range from five degrees to 110 degrees.

It is semi-deciduous and widely-crowned with a flattened canopy.

Grows very quicly to 25' and slows down until reaching 50'. The spread ranges from 30 - 55' wide. Because of the spread, it needs a lot of space.
