Be forewarned a dangerous one to get stuck by. My plants have flowered only once for me in 7 years, although they might have flowered again but I may have missed seeing them. It has survived through Albuquerque winters with temps as low as 9 degrees fahrenheit and 8 inches of snow and ice coverings. It is also a favorite host to the cochineal bug which laid eggs on my plants several years and nearly killed parts of them until I sprayed them with the garden hose one year until the eggs bled purple on the ground falling off in the process. This year I used a spray mist bottle with a few drops of liquid dish soap and the rest water again spraying until I saw the eggs beeding purple and falling off to the ground it saved my plants from complete devastation.
