Species Orchid, Grass Orchid, Epidendrum

There is little information about this brazilian orchid. All I know is what I saw in the botanical garden last time I visited. There was ...Read Morea rather large group of plants growing around a palm tree, united by a thick entanglement of roots and rhyzomes that seemed to be responsible for most of the plant´s biomass, so vigorous they were. The herbaceous stems and leaves, on the other hand, look like a tender, erect grass with thin, upright leaves.

It in no way looks like an orchid, if it wasn´t by the roots. Certainly a curiosity in any orchid collection.
