Zucchini, Courgette, Summer Squash 'Raven'

This is my first year veg...Read Moreetable gardening, so I literally just stuck it in the ground and waited. The "zukes" I swear just grow overnight. For the past 3 weeks I have been getting about 4 zukes ranging from 8"-16". I learned recently that they taste the best when they are picked with the flower still on it at around 6". But if you want to use it for breads and other baked goods to let it grow out. This has been one of the most fun plants in my garden. It tastes great as well. Although next year I am going to do a square foot garden devoted to squash. This plant is HUGE! Oh, I do have to make a note that the leaves are prettier than most zucchini plants that I have seen with the light green patches in the leaves.
