It has shiny green leaves, forming a 0.5 meters around rosette that must be constantly filled with water. The inflorescence is tall, reaching up to 1.5 meters tall, with a branched stalk covered with red bracts. The floral bracts are red and yellow. The flowers are small and yellow. After a few weeks, it releases hundreds of feathery seeds.
It likes white sand, regular watering (specially, watering the middle of the leaf rosette), high temperatures, and preferably partial shade. Also, this is a protected species, be careful before buying it.
