As usual, I started my seeds too early (February 17, 2012 -- in Michigan); potted up the seedlings on March 14 in red plastic "party cups...Read More" with a wick for bottom-watering; grew them under lights. On May 5th, I planted them outside, under a row cover; they already had blossoms. I harvested the first three last week (June 15). Unfortunately, I had guests and there was not enough for three people; so I will eat my first eggplant of the season only tonight, June 21st.
This is an oriental type eggplant. It is very similar to Ichiban but about a week later. Like Ichiban it is prolific and delicious. Frui...Read Morets are about 1.5 x 12 inches at max edible stage.
