when completely dried out. The "stones" form pairs od succulent leaves, and no two are alike. In summer or fall, they sprout beautiful, like daisey-like flowers in colors of pink, white, yellow, or orange. Lithops are from the greek word, lithos, meaning "rock" . Plant several in a window box or shallow tray and they are suppose to spread \, lating for years. They are very easy to divide and replant as they mature. Now my problem is, I never have seen one in bloom.
