Unlike many Huernias, this one grows out from around a center. Its stems are relatively long. One of my plants is in dense shade and gets once-a-month water. The other has early afternoon sun and every-other-week water. Both are doing quite well. Neither has yet bloomed.
Added June 5, 2016. A 3rd plant in a pot in partial shade, that winters in a pop-up plastic greenhouse, bloomed last October and again in May, although only a couple flowers each time. The plants with more sun do better than the one in dense shade, which is leggy with die-back of some stems.
