I have purchased some "georgia rattlesnake" seeds from a reputable seller here in Oz, however the seeds are brown and not white with blac...Read Morek tips???? is this possibly the variety "garrison" ???? any info would be greatly appreciated, some of the pics on the net of "rattlesnake" look like they have brown/black seeds.

Grew great in Wilsonville, OR, in very sunny location by south wall of house. I think this is one of the best tasting melons there are!

The rind very tough; flesh bright scarlet, crisp and sweet;and the seeds all white with black tips. Some of today;s suppliers are selling the newer release Garrison as the Rattlesnake. It was still popular into the 50's but required good bottom land.
