It has large, dark, hairy leaves. When young, the stem is covered with thsese hairs too, colouring it with bronze. The flowers are bright yellow, relatively large (3-5cm round), and has oil glands on the sepals that atract bees. The fruits are winged and purple when mature.
It needs full sun, white and salty sand, regular watering, and high temperatures. The soil requirement may vary, since this plant can be found living in many kinds of soils.
