This is a beautiful plant and so far, I have not had to have a male too in order to produce fruit. Not sure what's up with that. Mine fruits on it's own. It grows fast, has no pests to speak of and the fruit is delicious with a little sugar sprinkled on it. Should be more widely known and grown.

An attractive shrub/tree for the warmer, drier areas of the US. Its fruit is edible and great for making jam. From South Africa.
