One of the most versatile orchids, this Epidendrum can live in almost any kind of soil, as long as it´s well drained. There are hundreds...Read More of varieties and cultivars to choose. You can cultivate this orchid with your eyes closed, but I wouldn´t recomend it - you have to keep an eye, because it grows a lot with new pseudobulbs coming from the base or the top of the plants all the time, so at some point you might have to control it. The flowers comes from an apical inflorescence that can last almost an entire year, with new flowers coming from the top. The flowers per se can last 3 days. They are small, pink (my cultivar), white, red, or variations between those, always with white callousities on the labellum.
My only recomendations is to keep it always warm, at least with light shade, and at most a few hours of direct sun light.
