The lettuce tree comes from the Beach forests of Andaman Islands. It thrives in sandy soil and when planted in bright sunlight, the leaves acquire a light yellow colour.

Pissonia Alba can be grown in pots and it also makes a good hedge when planted closely together. It looks great planted along side the russet coloured acalypha wilkesiana. :)
