The bloom is virtually identical to 'Colorado', so not as unique, but is still a show-stopper. It definately needs full sun (I tried this in the bright spot in my pond one year, and it performed okay at 6 hours of direct light) and benefitted from some over-fertilization on my part. A nice one to add to the collection or use as a focal of a small pond, as it's not huge, about 2' to 3' around at most.

During cooler weather, the pink is much more intense. The flowers are usually raised just above the surface of the pond. This lily tolerates a fair amount of water disturbance. Ours is just three feet from the base of our waterfall. The mottled leaves are a definite plus.
