It weeps in direct sun, unless well watered. The fragrance to me is like a tropical fruit candy, and wafts several metres/yards, slightly more than my Gardenia augusta 'Lacey Lady' and Chinese Perfume plant, and much more than a moonflower vine. Strongest fragrance in the evening and early morning - likes being watered early morning and again in the afternoon.
The flowers open in succession, so one cluster will give off its sweet fragrance for about a month, and by removing dead flowers, the cluster looks as good as it did in its first flush of flowers. Mind started flowering late spring.
As mentioned elsewhere, if the leaves are brushed they give off an unpleasant odour (so best not plant in a windy location).
In my opinion the fragrance is better than a Night Scented Jasmine, and on par with, but more fruity than, a Gardenia augusta or Jasminum sambac 'Maid of Orleans'

Invasive doesn't begin to describe it. Fortunately the small shoots can be pulled up easily after the rain, but if the plants are allowed to grow too large, they put down a very deep and tough root. If you are careful to control the spread it makes a nice large area planting where you don't want to bother with lawn.

Nothing survives in the dog yard, and it makes a nice screen for the dogyard fence.

It must be dug unless the ground is very damp, otherwise it just snaps off at the base when you try to pull it. The smell of the leaves, when brushed or bruised, is also a negative. It clings to my dog when she runs through the cashmere bouquet forest in our backyard. I would suggest it only as a potted plant.
